Concur with Shauns woes. My iPhone used to last around 2-3 days, playing games, messing with apps and the likes, and now, its an utter pile of poo. It lasts no longer than 10 hours, I cannot mess around with apps without draining the battery I need to conserve to actually use it as a phone. Had my 3G for 24 months now, think its defiantly end of life and a 3GS is on the cards or alternative as battery life provides the best usability.

Ahh, but I don't see the big powers buying smaller things as a bad thing. Look at Sun buying xVM and Mysql, the improvements are outstanding to both, integrating already existing great products to the correct backing they require. I've always been under the impression that Zimbra was the clear choice when comparing "Exchange Systems" now hopefully if VMWare get the product they can throw everything at it, and compete at a much better level than previously. Everyone knows VMWare and their products, heck the majority of virtualized environments are running under VMWare and those consumers will be more than happy to try another VMWare solution out.

Just get WhoCrashed to give you adequate information as to the problem and resolve that problem from there, it may be software thats interfering with AVG, first step is to find out whats causing the problems without the long way around of new install and testing every application.

Very interesting indeed, add the power with Spring Source and Zimbra could quite possibly become a big thorn in the side of Microsoft, added the complex modelling, and licensing for large installations. Have been a fan of Spring for some time, and nice to see a solid and determined company taking over the venture. You shouldn't install anything without getting permission from SMT/SLT regarding this issue, the best step is to discuss it with anyone above you and get permission to "stalk" them in essence. Worth seeing it, I can't see how someone would regret watching it. Was an utter pleasure, and something new and exciting to get engrossed into.

Both my Washing machine and tumble dryer which are a two-in-one are "A" rated, they hardly use any electricity at all. I've tested this theory, running a full load and than tumble dry for 100 minutes consumes all of 1.42kWH which you can calculate at your electricity price. My under-the-counter fridge is "A" rated as well, and as specified by the manufacturer uses 137kWH a year, bar open and closing it like a maniac. It's all about the ratings, pay more and you get your savings back!

Indeed, dry normally during the summer months, and stick in for 10-15mins, than hang shirts on hangers and sorted, folder trousers along creases and in half on a hanger as well. During the winter months just tumble dry for x amount of time than do the same hanging technique. I have the privilege of owning a washer/dryer, as a result the clothes are normally steaming as they come out of the tumble dryer, makes them feel wet, but once they cool they are actually dry, once hanging all the clothes while steaming (which removes the creases) on hangars, I never have to iron. Has honestly saved me so much time, and an invaluable trick to learn

Iron? You need to learn the art of the tumble dryer. I used to iron all the time, work shirts, trousers etc for both me and the other half, until I was enlightened with folding straight after tumble drying, never had to iron anything since.

Saw it Boxing day at Cinema De Lux in Bristol. What an amazing concept, the 3D and CGI were absolutely outstanding, I really enjoyed the movie, did even notice its almost three hours long by the time we left. For once a movie where I didn't check the time, and I was engrossed throughout the whole thing. I think the SCI-FI aspect was good as well, at least it was believable in some ways. Defiantly the best movie I've watched this year, on par with Inglorious Ba****ds.

I still play EVE online with my XFX HD4890 1GB, and have yet to have any problems with Linux drivers, added the fact ATI are really pushing Linux drivers which seems the best way forward. Newer releases of *BSD support the F790 chipset out of box and play very nice. ATI/AMD fan, always have been, always will be. Added lifetime support for over clocking, mine has been faultless.

I noticed the same with Windows XP Machines, assigned 1GB ram, and it would eat all its allocated RAM, reporting falsely. U1 fixed this.
