BSF - Building Scrapped for Future (In Places)
ahuxham replied to CAM's topic in Legacy CMS Comments
I did see this coming, but everyone up in arms saying it wouldn't happen. All I can say is: I told you so -
So in theory, you want to just copy Experts Exchange - The #1 resource on the web for solving technology problems. Right?
-
And you don't deserve any of that right? I mean, for example; look at your "Note" in your signature, proves my point. e-Forum-warrior Localz.

Ahh, joining me on the extended leave front? At least we're not far from conversation Shame edugeek has turned to facegeek. "One of the biggest "technical" forums and online communities" - Think that statement needs looking at

K-Seal is fantastic, used it on a leak on mine and never had problems since! Make sure you flush the system and use new anti-freeze for the bonding process, it doesn't clog as previous mentioned!

Yay! More elitism and cliques!

It's not wasted time And it sure can be alot quicker to get a response on IRC than on the forums. Let's just say we've stimulated Edugeek with threads at the same times, from various users and accounted for current trends, where technical posts get blindly ignored, and casual posts get four pages of replies. The tech question was asked and answered, there was no need to search or sift through the forums for the thread, its directly infront of you.

PM, update main post with web ways to get online, perhaps a link with all clients, and a link to Mibbit?

How to Register for the EduGeek Chorley Conf 2010
ahuxham replied to Dos_Box's topic in General EduGeek News/Announcements
What about making some changes in mindset and actually replying to users forum posts when they're directed at admins. -
And running an .exe off a memory stick within a secured network is a good idea, or an idea that is allowed... or an administrative change to GPO to allow it. Exe's on memory sticks are generally blocked for a reason

How to Register for the EduGeek Chorley Conf 2010
ahuxham replied to Dos_Box's topic in General EduGeek News/Announcements
Dos_box... Hows about doing something easy and grand and answering peoples questions, I know its hard with your commitments and all, but seriously. I've seen sparkeh, powdarmonkey, azrael all ask for an agenda, who's going to be there, what times everything is happening and the likes and no response yet? How do you expect people to register and take time out of their life's to attend a conference where all they know is; there will be more geeks there, and that's all we're telling you. Some people actually need to justify time-off to their bosses -

It's deployable via MSI, Powdarrmonkey would be able to offer a bit more advice. I'm sure it deploys as a windows service on the machines and is then edited via GPO with the settings required.
