Here with DMcCoy on the matter. Alot of the new content is very cringe worthy, and there's lots of self loathing on the site. Lets take this afternoons header. I couldn't care less who's birthday it is. Microsoft doesn't update when its Steve Ballmers birthday, nor do many other websites online the same content. What do labour call it? Cronyism? (Sp) Professionalism should transfer to everything on the site. Unless you specify, well the technical forums are professional the rest isn't so we're half a professional site.

Perhaps, than why all the fuss coming from Microsoft regarding the practice? Why does Sysprep ensure this is done? I find it hard to believe that software was just created to resolve an issue that doesn't exist, wouldn't you research the issue before writing the software? I can only assume this was done, and they wrote the software to combat this. Alot of sysinternals stuff has been "cleared up" by Microsoft. I remember watching a speech from the last DEF CON Conference how and why these tools were bought up

It's your post, no such thing as off topic Anywho, Duplicate SID's will do this. I do believe sysinternals made a program called "NewSID" which is discontinued (as Microsoft now own the company), however I'm sure someone somewhere has the software. Just run it on your machines and see if this alleviates the problems you are experiencing, saves you having to sysprep the machines, less work = better in my opinion.

I thought they did as well, as long as they can prove it was you driving. Bit hard to enforce when you get caught by a camera as driving at 140mph+ in modern sports cars implies you have some money, therefore the lawyers come out and argue you weren't drive and to prove it. I always wondered how that worked for a defence, if you weren't driving who was? Was it borrowed? Was it stolen, who was it borrowed to, when and where was it stolen, how was it recovered, did you report it, and the likes, defiantly a loop hole there somewhere. Same as speed camera's, if you caught doing say 36 in a 30 for example, just argue the case, and ask for all the recent calibration data and the specifics the camera is calibrated too. Obviously doing 45 in a 30 isn't going to help, the close to 33 you are or Speed Limit +10% the more likely to get off. Speed cameras have to be calibrated every two weeks, and I can certainly assure you through inside information, that this is very rare, more like every two months+

Mine did the same quite a few times, but alas tried and tried again and it worked as needed. It's all down to the timings when pressing buttons and how long you hold them down for.

Not really, you have to switch between the two depending on what you're doing. I have an Asus Xonar DX and 5.1 speaker set, that I use, but the card switches to its own processor whenever its plugged into the TV and ignores my card and speakers. Bit of a PITA though, but the sound isn't that bad at all. I've now plugged the 5.1 speakers into the TV so alls good.

The new modern graphics cards carry audio out now LocalZ. My HD4890 has built-in 5.1 output, plugged into the television, all sound is carried via the card, through HDMI into the TV. Worth checking of the Nvidia card has builtin audio out.

Then I re-read the whole Thread and noticed the original Stop message, and just remembered something. The 0x40000080 message looked very familiar, and I remembered I got this question wrong in my MCP 70-290 exam. I had never covered it in material or practice exams and kicked up stink about it, how am I supposed to know about something which isn't being taught. Anywho, the question related to Windows XP being unable to boot and the stop message being around 0x40000080, and the correct answer was NDIS Drivers...
