Just picked up a case-less copy off eBay for £11 and free delivery, arrived a few moments ago and the disc is pristine, no scratches and scuffs, I would assume its going to run smoothly later. Just goes to show eBay has its uses, and can be trusted. Saying that, I might have it for sale for £11 after tonight, never really like football games, so going to give it a go and see how I get on, can't promise that I'm going to like it at all.

Sun VDI isn't tiered at a specific market rather than education, Yes there are performance issues with Flash and Audio, but the Wyse systems still suffer this problem. Sun have the SunMMR and assosciated plugins for installing on the virtual machine to improve performance. I can honestly say we see no real slow-downs with Flash/Audio/Usb Redirection at all.

Successfully running a Sun VDI environment here with a VMWare Backend, working a treat. Running our Sun Rays over a WAN from our other site on a very poor ADSL line, but no hickups and everything running very smooth. Very cost effective solution as well, Sun Ray 2 terminals are circa £160 as well, much cheaper than the Wyse equivalents. Could anything be an Eve copy? Such a massive and unique sandbox, it'd be hard to copy the elements of the game without it being noticed and slammed, it however is a direct copy/clone of POTBS, just different genre and a few new things added here and there.

Not playing, read the reviews, watched the videos, and its just a mask over POTBS (Pirates of the Burning Sea) Same style of game, same classes, just different rules. Actually its almost so alike to POTBS I can't bring myself to play it at all.

Why that far down? Something a bit centrally located between Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, Cornwall, Devon would be easier? Exeter for one is quite central, bar far right Wiltshire, Bristol as well, quite easy to get trains anywhere in the South West to Bristol, and the likes.

I read an article about this recently, and the new business model the majority of companies are moving to are higher costs for digital downloads. Why: Companies assume people want what they want now, and don't want to wait, so they charge that little bit extra for the privilege. I am impatient and would quite easily pay that extra cost for digital download, and not having to wait for it to arrive.

Pretty sure there are no legal issues as the information is publicly held, if the server is in the UK or the person is in the UK you are covered under the freedom of information act to attain this information. Not entirely sure on berating or making contact with the person. You can exclude your domain registration information if you are an individual to stop sites grabbing this information.

Indeed. Eve is a very unique game in the fact you can set a skill to train and leave it, even when off line and not playing, however as such everything is timed and skills are ranked in tiers so some take 35 days to go from IV to V for example. You can spend around 1-2 years perfecting and mastering the basic skills which all help in the end. A little bit of advice for a new player. Train your Tier I Learning skills to 5 and your Tier III skills to 4 as soon as possbile, the higher your learning skills the faster you train skills. I don't pay to play anymore, I have my Marauder, Marauder's 5, Golem, Faction fit. Spend around 3-8 hours a month doing missions, pay for ingame timecards and be done with it. It does take time to get where you want to go, but determination is key.

Done it all, now on a semi-permanent break. Still train one of my alts up, 81m SP and counting. Maxed Missiles and Support skills and the rest. As MossJ stated, left EVE £1500 richer after selling various accounts off. Don't regret selling them at all Just keeping my current char ingame should I ever wish to rejoin. I think the technology overly relies on LED/LCD combinations project on two screens rather than one. I did see a showcase on either LG or Sony's website showing the principal behind the technology. There are so many different formats of 3D it's hard to tell to be honest. You've got; Spectral separation Pulfrich Lenticular or barrier screens Interference filter technology Eclipse method Polarization systems Anaglyph Majority use different classes, colours and types. Avatar falls under Polarization systems I believe. Stereoscopy or (Real3D). Anaglyph is the old red/green glasses, some are red/blue glasses, some are real effects without glasses. Most new 3D TV's are to be introduced without the need for glasses.

Likewise, the amount of threads I read verse the amount I comment in. Generally the answers or my shared opinion are already expressed in the post, alas I don't contribute to the confusion. What does bug me though, is when a user asks a question, and you get 50 replies with other users saying what they've got. I.e. I have server 2003 and want to use x service to-do y, and you get a million posts saying I have server 2003 and use x all the time, they also use z to-do y. How is that relevant to what the question original was. Just the way things roll.

Thread really not needed. We've had enough shouting and arguing between everyone, emotions are running high. Edugeek is going to always be Edugeek, the mix of technical and everything else. Just because nothing technical is being shown isn't indicative that the website isn't being technical. Perhaps we're all super techs and have no problems to report back!
