Hi all, We are considering purchasing a booking system for parents to use to book appt slots for open evenings. Has anyone here got any experience with such a system? Are any existing products worthy of recomendation? I'd be interested in your thoughts. Graham

I've got both and for ease of use with regards to managers, the iPhone wins in my opinion. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but I've found ease of use paramount to their success with end users especially for email as Domino said earlier.

I got an iPad while in the states recently, and I really quite like it. Importantly the wife and kids love using it for checking their email and surfing on, so they now leave my laptop and desktops alone . Everyone who has had a go seems to love it, mainly I suspect because it follows the usual ease of use that apple products tend to have. In fact the only people who I know who have reservations with them are friends that are IT professionals, right up to the point they actually use one, then they see how it works and like it, then try the Air Video app out, and order one. I read last night that Apple have now sold a million in a month, so they must be doing something right.

I'm in the US at the mo and can't buy one, let alone the two I had planned on buying, so I'm not surprised by the delay. The apple staff are far less helpful here compared to what I've become accustomed to in the UK. I actually had a staff member tut at me when I asked her to ring another Apple store to check stock. I've spent well over two hours testing them in various stores and I have to say I'm very impressed so far, the on screen keyboard is much better than I expected and there are some superb ipad only apps out already.

Just in case anyone is planning on getting a eye test, I read in one of my wife's journals (she's an Optician) a few days ago that Tesco are planning on giving free sight tests for all in the near future. You'll be under no obligation to buy specs from them to be able to qualify for the free test. They have piloted it in a few areas and it seems to have worked well.

I can't help but think that if we have got to the stage where we have to scan everyone through to their naked body, and all the delays and hassles it brings with that, the terrorists have pretty much won.

I'm pretty tempted to be honest, I can see it fitting in with the way my wife and kids would like to use the net, control the room to room music, check their mail quick etc. They dont want macbooks or even netbooks for that matter, they consider them too much hassle. I'm off to the US at the start of April for a few days, so I might pre-order one.

Settings > Wifi > Tap your Wifi Connection > Scroll down > Select Manual and Enter Proxy Settings Proxy is done on a per connection setting, so wont need to be removed for their existing home settings.

First go it worked fine for me, two minutes later and it takes an age to load the page.

Hi, Over Christmas I have upgraded our Ex2003 to Ex2007 and it all went very smoothly. Our remote users can login fine using the https://mail.Schoolname/owa. The old server used to do OWA through the url https://mail.schoolname/exchange and this is where I'm having a problem. I would like to set up a redirect if possible, so any user using the /exchange url gets an automatic redirect to the /owa url. We dont use an ISA server, so would need to do this via the IIS on the 2k8 server if it is at all possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Graham
