  1. When it was imported was this just for the PE as you need to import the OS driver and make sure that's it got the correct OS selected when importing. Do you have a login for rm.com? If so this is what your after... How to import a driver into the RM Management Console on Community Connect 4 Published Date : 18 Aug 2008 Last Updated : 30 Mar 2016 Content Ref: TEC1273581

  3. We just bought each Meraki AP with a 10 year licence it works out much cheaper.
  4. Have any off the certificates expired APNS or the token from the VPP?
  5. I tend to stick with a lot of the same suppliers and have built long term relationships with them. We go out and look at prices from other suppliers to make sure the prices we receive are competitive. I make our suppliers aware if they are not competitive anymore and they generally adjust their prices accordingly. Working for multiple schools helps as we can pitch a long term business plan to companies like Dell. Dell would rather have the repeat business year on year out than just the odd order now and then and that helps to drive the pricing down for us.
  6. Ok thanks well on the basis that the school has a resource that could be used with children and isn't without this I'll PM the OP.
  7. I have the software and it was distributed with the hardware as part of the package. The software is specific to storyphones and has no other purpose. Can I PM the OP the software? He would be legally entitled to use it as he has the hardware. I'll go by whatever a mod says to be safe.
  8. It is quite worrying reading all the GDPR related threads and the conflicting information that's going around.
  9. Verge Review. Chrome OS isn’t ready for tablets yet
  10. Not really funny but... Abuse inquiry fined £200,000 for email data breach. The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse has been fined £200,000 after sending a mass email that identified possible abuse victims, the Information Commissioner's Office says. An inquiry staff member emailed 90 people using the "to" field instead of the "bcc" field - allowing recipients to see each other's addresses, it said. The ICO said the incident last year was a breach of the Data Protection Act. The inquiry said it had apologised and reviewed its data-handling. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44872880
  11. Microsoft have had their run ins with the EU as well in the past... "Two fines totalling €1.46bn against Microsoft related to the bundling of its Explorer browser with Windows, and failing to keep a pledge to provide users a choice of other browsers. The two penalties were announced in February 2008 and March 2013"
  12. Google has been fined a record 4.34 billion euros ($5bn; £3.9bn) over Android. The European Commission said the firm had used the mobile operating system to illegally "cement its dominant position in general internet search". The firm's parent Alphabet has been given 90 days to change its business practices or face further penalties of up to 5% of its average daily turnover. It represents the largest fine imposed by the regulator against a single firm. Google's chief executive Sundar Pichai was pre-briefed about the decision by Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager on Tuesday. In a statement she said Google had "denied European consumers the benefits of effective competition in the important mobile sphere." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-44858238

  14. You need third party software on a mac.
  15. Which translates to... We make a mess, you clear it up.
  16. Yes this would be the icing on the cake.
  17. The Vulcan was at Bournemouth air show numerous times and the noise was just incredible when it turned and the engines were straight at you. I think the only time I saw Concorde was once when I was a child. I can't actually find any evidence to this though Hopefully one day we may see them both fly again!
  18. I think everyone just needs clear simple guidance from the DFE or ICO or whoever. The amount of time schools are spending on this is just ridiculous.
  19. Pretty much a joke considering what they've done. I imagine 500k is probably what they'll blow on there office party celebrating this!
  20. Yes that was my thinking as well. Another example of each school \ trust interpreting the new guidance in their own way.
  21. Is that something that all schools in your LA have been told?
  22. It wasn't cost effective to go for non smart boards and buy the software. Smart are always going to make you pay a premium if you don't buy their boards. Teachers love the software though!
