if the UPS is plugged in to a server via USB, then you are doing the correct thing. I'd like the direct mains to have a surge protector. if you run both servers from the both ups one may last longer than the other, the servers may draw more power from one before the other and shutdown earlier than necessary. servers with 2 power supplies can be configured to fail over or load balance... which PSU is plugged into what UPS, servers using what one for failover... 1 ups 1 server is real simple and the way to go. (until larger scale installs) BTW my new APC UPS (that I got just recently) appear as a battery icon on the server like a laptop without any stupid software, how cool is that! EDIT: BTW I had a server PSU blow up once and it damaged the other devices connected to the same UPS. (APC SU2000RUI) so the surge protection was only from the mains, not the other devices connected to each other.

You've probably enabled a lot of new Wi-Fi features, that are exposing problematic Wi-Fi cards. I had to replace about 1/3 of my Wi-Fi cards, in my laptops as they had poor connectivity, even next to a new AP. (it was always the azure Wi-Fi modules, the intel ones were fine) My best guess is that the laptops Wi-Fi cards were marginal and would fall over in the new environment (poor throughput but with strong signal, poor upload / download balance, random disconnects) or the cruddy azure drivers got upset with some of the new protocols and bugged out.

Yes, I was using this but it only allows for per user licencing? is this correct? My old XML for 2019 and 2021 have no mention of licensing model. (other than MAK or KMS) I think looking at the documentation that to use shared licensing is wrong and device licensing is only for M365 APPs that are connected to entra?.... So I'm stuck, on how to deploy, I tried a test deployment with a MAK key but in use it changed to M365 using my credentials NOT 2024LTSC that I deployed?!! (I'm guessing that office can just change itself now depending on license)

Got the OVS licence, so like 2019 and 2021 I can only deploy the 2024 version of office... seems that the PC though will ignore what you deploy, the MAK you include with it and will capture your login details and BAM, you are using office 365!? I had to sign out and jam it up three times with the MAK key to convince it to use office 2024... I think it maybe the office configurator and the per user licencing options.. (that are greyed out) any help? (I'll ask for a KMS key as well)

you could use the task scheduler, see if an event is logged (in the event log) when the wifi is turned off, then add a scheduled task triggered by this for a 3 minute delay and a shutdown when this occurs.

I got it from Amazon, it was £20, it has pre-fixed EDIDs but can also copy like the Lindy. (not sure why you would want to copy but it must have a use case that escapes me) However I now use a £20 optical HDMI as that seems to eliminate the 4k 18Gbps marginal cable issue.

As I mentioned above, I used an EDID emulator to fool the graphics card into thinking the screen can only work at 1080p/60. This ensures that the "signal resolution" is reduced to be more reliable. (I now use optical cables)

This is quite a poor experience, it is an RDP of a machine running desktop Fusion and runs ever so poorly, even on a fiber 1000Mbit internet connection.

if the socket is loose maybe no cable will help but some contact cleaner and an optical cable to make sure. modern PCs let you set 1080p60 but will do that over a 4k signal... Have you checked the desktop resolution VS Active Signal resolution? My cables were rated 4k60 18gbps cables, but let me down, optical sorted out the inconsistent output issues. I did also try an EDID feeder to trick the signal to 1080p60 but optical cables are only £20 now.

You may find that the HDMI port is running those screens at 4K60 which for a marginal HDMI cable may or may not work well. I've had no end of trouble with my 4K displays and their respective cables. I'm now ONLY using optical HDMI cables for my 4k displays. (the multi display aspect may have nothing to do with your issues) EDIT: BTW my HDMI cables were included with the TV ffs..

The Samsung Magicinfo screens can select and input and sound level. Also disable controls and schedule power. Not sure if they have tuners in though. but they have web browsers so you might be able to stream it.

With DDR5 dual channel (2 sticks) is not important due to the way it now works, a single 16GB DDR5 stick is the better choice as it has better upgrade path.

Trying to install "AVerTouch Win v1.3.2097.0 (msi)" for an avervision F17+ that the English Dept. purchased without consultation. Anyhow above having to download the drivers at 300kb/s (so 20 minute download) the bloody software keeps faulting out saying I have to be an administrator! Well I am an admin so I suspect another issue.. anyone running this software? (I've tried compatibility and Run AS)

I am using the cloud, I can monitor and remote control the printer but the video feed is failing.

I can't get the video feed on the bambu printers to be received on the domain. The printers are not on the school domain but on a private isp and work well on private devices. (so that end is ok) What I'm trying to do is view the video feed via the bambu slicer software on a domain device. Has anyone done this already on an RM Network? (before I go off and sort it) I can see that the RM firewall is blocking port 10001 (video) to some ip addresses on my workstation. I'd assume I'd have to make a DNS exception though as the ips will change constantly. cheers anyone!

I think, if EdExcel want to use Thonny they should fork it and pay for an independent audit. Also contribute to the project and hire a programmer who can address issues and maintain the fork for them.
