I can't activate, I've used my MAK key with 45 activation but the server insists that MY activation server is uncontactable. The help is: contact your administrator. FML done the slmgr /ato the result was: NO KMS could be contacted? (I do have a KMS server but I don't have that setup for server 2022 and didn't want to bother it) ((and I didn't use a KMS client key with the datacentre servers)) what is wrong, I've put a proxy in and can surf the web?!!

Well, this is about what I'd expect.

I've shown this to our tech department and they're thinking it is amazing. No special paper, no special modes. Stick it to the bed and print over the laser print, rub off the paper in the sink. A really neat (and possibly high scoring) technique. This example was me rushing, so it can be done better.

I have a few HP monitor docks, with DP out for the projector in the classroom. The issue is that sometimes if the external screen is 4k they become unreliable with laptop, monitor and 4k all running off USBC DP mode at the same time. Also many teachers get confused with too many screens and we have to setup the laptop to work with the lid closed.

I use these, very good. The cable can be replaced if damaged which is nice. (few screws) I use with Probook 440 G6 to G9 very well.

Migrating to hyperV, this is quite the upset. We're not wanted, so we'll move to hyper V, new backup software and some training we'll save money in the 2nd year.

you probably already have a disclaimer rule setup for the footer of your emails already. We have one "email is for address(es) only, blah" The mail rule would be to EXCLUDE emails with your domain name.

I saw the restrictions and didn't even try. So I don't know that they do not work just an assumption.

The restrictions on the PDF this morning would not allow copying OR printing.

My synology takes around 8 hours, for the whole tenant even all the teams stuff which needed the extra permissions from Microsoft. (I have the cheapest +NAS)

This has just got us this morning, we use Natural Reader 16 (free) the restricted PDF did not allow copying or printing which stumped me for 5 minutes. (until I read the restrictions notice) FFS We've been told to email if it happens again to request an un restricted copy.

Had an issue this morning as none of our reader pupils could listen to the PDF the AQA gave us for the exam.. In their wisdom they decided to not only password protect the PDF, (ok enough) but they restricted copying and printing. This lead to the immediate issue that the screen reader software couldn't access the PDF, so 6 pupils without a screen reader. (Natural reader 16) Nice. (The built in edge screen reader won't work as internet access is disabled for obvious reasons)

I'm quoting for new hardware this year anyway. As you said I already have a datacentre licence from M$ for my virtual machines, so I'll pay someone to migrate from VMware and purchase a new backup solution. It'll still cost less that continuing with VMware.

The Microsoft Display Adaptor(s) have 2 unique features, I've not seen on any other dongle. 1: it does this single job (no menus or multi function, no confusion) 2: it can run off any feeble 500ma usb A port (no external power)

iphones have something called Multi peer technology, underused but I think it can basically make an adhoc mesh network. Perfect for a large messaging system that can have thousands of clients and no internet access. (think burning man type event)

I've been here since 2005, I've never seen them before! Tech had them in store room, I think they could work... needs a new belt and it has a serial port on the back of the controller but no text anywhere other than the pic of that psu.

I'm told these are for making circuit boards, looks like a serial connection is on the back.. anyone know these things?
