  1. @LukeRowberry is right. Definitely looks like ShowMe https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/showme-interactive-whiteboard/id445066279 You can get the App Store to only show Purchased apps by tapping your profile pic in the app store (top right) then tapping Purchased which should narrow down your search if it turns out not to be ShowMe.
  2. That's next on our list - got to finish Vigil first but the wife keeps falling asleep, which isn't a good advert for the programme but I'm enjoying it.
  3. It's working fine for me...
  4. Thanks - I mentioned it to our Head yesterday and she forwarded it to me so I have a copy now.
  5. @StevieM and @Fazza where did the email come from informing you of the extension? I've not received it, yet. That does change our plans for what to do with the devices. I've reset a trolley full of the better spec (HP) ones and added them to our domain. The cheaper DELL ones I might leave as they are if the filtering is extended so they can be quickly deployed to pupils as the need arises.
  6. Yes, I had similar. Standard users get just a black screen after entering their logon details but an admin user can login fine. It turned out to be corrupt default profile. Here's the solution that fixed it for me - hopefully yours will be the same... Login as an admin account In Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab > uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" > Apply - In File Explorer go to C:\Users\administrator\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\ - Right click on the WebCache folder and choose Properties - Choose the Security tab, take ownership of the folder and all child objects if need be, then give the folder and all child objects "Everyone" full privileges. Remove the cached profile registry entry from HKLM/Software/Microsoft/WindowsNT/ProfileList/xxxxxx (you will need to click on each registry key to show the cached user names) Remove the C:\users\xxxxxxx folder Restart and log back in to correctly recreate the new profile.
  7. Its one of the reasons we went for SMART panels - they all have the freeze functionality (although on the older remotes the button is labelled STILL)
  8. It's an idea. Bear in mind that the diagonals of a 16:9 projected image will be wider than 4:3 when selecting your projector. Time for a bit of maths... 4:3 ratio is 1.33 to 1. So if your current screen is 3M wide, then it's height must be 3 / 1.33M = 2.26M. Diagonally this is 3.76M (using Pythagoras) 16:9 ratio is 1.77 to 1. So to get the same 2.26M high image, the screen would have to be 2.26M x 1.77 = 4M wide. Diagonally this is 4.59M.
  9. I've used avpartsmaster for years for all my projectors until we replaced them all with SMART interactive flat panels. https://www.avpartsmaster.co.uk/projector-i44 Also, projector central has good info on all projectors and their throw calculator is very useful. https://www.projectorcentral.com/projectors.cfm Or get in touch with Ross at VeryPC - he'll sort you out. https://very-pc.co.uk/verypc-for-education
  10. We watched this a while ago - I'm pleased to see they've filmed a second series.
  11. We started watching this on Tuesday. Enjoying it so far - any theories on who was sending the text messages?
  12. I've just got round to watching Sense8 on Netflix. A few years old now but I really enjoyed season 1 and the 2 hour first episode of season 2 did not disappoint.
  13. We bought extended warranty cover for our HP server through @johnlevis at VeryPC. Only had to use it once but the service was spot on and priced very favourably too. We had a failed SAS drive within an array. When I reported the failure, they asked if we wanted an engineer on site or to ship the part direct so I went with the latter and the drive was shipped on a pre 10:30 next day.
  14. I was using the new style, but reverting back to the old one is just the same.
  15. Mail Flow Insights are in the new Office 365 Security & Compliance site, but Mail Flow Rules are still in EAC. https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/transportrules
  16. We've been using Microsoft 365 for years and for the majority of the time, it works really well and I can find answers to any issues that come up - usually on edugeek. However, this one has me stumped. Yesterday, I went into the Exchange Admin Centre to edit one of the anti-phishing rules I have setup, only to find that all my mail flow rules are now read only and can't be edited. I also can't create new mail flow rules. I double checked to confirm my account is setup as global administrator, as it has been since day one. All looks good - as it should as I'm the only global admin. It was working fine last week. (I created two new rules to prevent students from sending/receiving external email.) So I signed out and back in - still the same. Then I created a new account and gave it the exchange admin role. Signed in with that account, went to the EAC and exactly the same happens - mail flow rules are read only. So then I setup another account with the global admin role. And guess what - that doesn't work either. I've tried it in Chrome and Edge, and on a couple of PCs, even at home last night. Still can't get it to work. No amount of searching has produced any useful insights as to what might be happening. What am I missing? It feels like it should be something simple, a tick box somewhere, but I can't find it.
  17. @ultima170387 posted that yesterday so that joke really has sailed
  18. I use Brother model DK-22223, 50mm by 30.8m continuous black on white paper labels. These are just as good as the Brother ones, https://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/DK-22223-CPT.html They don't peel off unless peeled off by naughty little fingers...
  19. Happy Birthday (Sorry it's late - I've not been on in a while...)
  20. We use Parago. I use a brother QL-570 label printer. I made a template and linked it to an excel spreadsheet using the supplied Brother P-Touch software. Its not the most streamlined solution, but its much cheaper than buying labels from Parago.
  21. I obtained a quote from Sophos via VeryPC. They are offering a 3-year deal for ex-YHGfL customers which is very competitive compared to others at todays prices. I've already signed up and started rolling it out - it is so much simpler than SEC! I spoke to Wayne Southey at Sophos (let me know if you want contact details) who released the deal pricing to VeryPC.
