Long shot - are the time and date correct on the suspect VMs?

I've never seen alignment issues that only affect Notebook app, and not SMART-ink. I've had a similar issue in the past with a board that was connected through VGA cable via a DisplayPort to VGA adaptor. The refresh rate was set automatically to 60.01Hz (why? how?). When I changed it to 60Hz, everything was fine. BUT that affected all apps, not just Notebook. Does CTRL+Windows+Shift+B to refresh the display have any effect?

Do you find yourself saying 'See you' or 'sneak attack' at random times during the day - or have I just been watching too much Kim's Convenience? Not 20 minutes, but we've finally got round to starting Only Murders in the Building. Definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

I've started using Riello recently. Had the first one for a few years now and it's been rock solid. We've only had one power cut in that time which it sailed through. So I bought a second one and that has also worked flawlesly. We get plenty of brown outs here and they handle those with ease. They have the usual connections to the server to allow graceful shutdown via Powershield software. It has a nice user interface too:

Having recently replaced all our AC-Pro WAPS with U6-Pro I can also confirm both the plastic and metal mounting plates work, although I found the metal ones make getting the U6-Pro on and off much easier. However, the AC-Pro don't work with the new metal plates so if you are re-deploying or selling on the AC-Pros, you'll need to swap the plates anyway.

We host MF on prem. That's what was recommended at the time it was installed (about 5 years ago I think) and it has worked pretty much flawlessly since. It's on a VM with 4vCPUs and 8GB RAM (not dynamic) which is more than adequate for our needs (Primary school with 98 staff, 650 pupils, averaging about 2.5K print jobs a week)

We didn't get any thunder or rain in Leeds yesterday, despite the forecast. It clouded over about 6pm for an hour but thats all. It's 24C in my office at the moment. I have a couple of strategically placed case fans blowing on me to make it bearable, but if it gets much hotter I'll also be melting. I'm hoping to get the air con moved from the room next door into mine based on the fact the server is in here. I like the 3D thermal graph that HP iLO produces - it looks suitably scientific to help support my case for air con!

Do you have Sophos or similar and have applied a Device Control Policy to block USB devices?

I've been to Disneyland Paris and I hated it, but I didn't go for me. My three girls all loved it because of the 'Disney magic', and the fact they were a lot younger at the time. We went in July school holidays so it was about as busy as it could have been. We split the journey up by staying in a cheap hotel Ibis in Calais, both on the way there and the return journey. We stayed in one of the hotels on the park - Hotel Cheyenne. It has a western theme and the rooms are adequate. Breakfast was basic continental buffet style but the restaurant was always packed because Hotel guests get to go in the park 1 hour earlier than the normal gates open and EVERYONE wants to get there as soon as possible. The majority of people were making sandwiches with the croissants to take into the park for lunch as the food outlets there are dreadful and expensive. Staff didn't seem to care, they just kept piling up the food. We spent 3 days (2 nights) there and that was enough to go on all the rides the girls wanted to at least once. I think we averaged about 3 major rides a day due to the size of the queues. We resorted to splitting up and leaving an adult in the queue whilst the other adult took the girls on one of the quieter rides or to look round the castle. They queued for 90 minutes to get Donald Duck's autograph. After that they didn't bother getting any others as the queues were too much for them. Don't expect to see random Disney characters walking around the park that you can just run up to like they show in the TV adverts. The worst queue was for the Disney Princess experience. Despite having an allotted time slot, we still had to queue nearly 2 hours to get a 30 second chat with Cinderella and a photo (which cost extra.) The parades are worth watching. The fireworks at night are great. Space Mountain (Or Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain as it is now) was the best rollercoaster. The Disney Frozen show was brilliant - Frozen had just come out when we went so it was all new. I wouldn't go again. The girls wanted to go again but we decided to keep it as a one off, special holiday, mainly because we couldn't face it again-the girls don't need to know that though! This has turned into quite a long post so in summary I would say, it is everything you fear it is and worse, but your son will probably love it. A week is too long for anyone though.

Resellers tend to have access to price/stock lists that we (the public) don't, so usually can get better deals. Depends on the quantities you're after. For desktops I always go to @VeryPC_Colin_M for new (they sell branded and own brand) and @ICTDirect_Dave for refurbished. Great service and support from both.

Why waste time and money putting in a temporary solution if you can get the MAT to bring the switch work forward? - that would be my preferred option.

It was done online some years ago but I don't remember it being difficult - it just gets renewed without any input from me every two years now I think. We're in a pretty built up area, but it's mainly houses nearby. The company we bought the kit from (astounded.com) appears to have ceased trading which is a shame as they were very knowledgeable and helpful.

As others have mentioned, this task is like pushing water uphill with a fork. Having tried many different options, we've ruled out boundary mics (they pick up EVERYTHING including all the sounds you don't want) and now have a mixture of wireless handheld and tie clip mics - up to 8 at once. Each is on it's own channel and can be turned up/down individually to suit the performer and environment.
