About Mrluckhurst

  1. Another vote for ICTDirect - we now buy everything from them and couldn't ask for better
  2. Not helpful I know but I had a random HP that would switch back on 30s after turning off all by itself. Never did figure out why
  3. Just another vote for Easter - started the process in January for staff training etc. and then moved over at the end of term 4. We then delayed the parent app for a month to allow us to iron out what we needed to before it all went live. 99% of staff have never looked back. Federation of Junior and Infant school - about 1000 pupils
  4. Octonauts (sorry - young kids!!!!)
  5. We use Studybugs to do this and allow parents to report absence etc. it ties in nicely with Arbor
  6. Hi - after many years my staff are now beginning to plan collaboratively online rather than downloading docs and emailing them My head is now talking about some big screens in the SLT and planning rooms to enable easy collaboration I am thinking TVs as they don't need to be interactive but wondered if anyone had any experience of these - especially ones that are easy to cast to in a windows environment Thanks
  7. I had to log into the admin center using the email address I had used to purchase the licenses rather than the admin login - they were all there and deployable. It may be something similar .... or not..
  8. When I had trouble with ours I contacted https://allen-martin.com/ They were incredibly helpful - to the extent of emailing me the remote software I needed and talking me through the installation without charging us. I would highly recommend giving them a call
  9. We use it in our Junior school - our attendance officer loves it. It writes to SIMS (don't judge) and is simple for parents etc. to use. Weekly reports are ok for a quick check on certain pupils but could do more
  10. Hi from a 1000ish kids primary school We are looking at how we manage our after school clubs bookings - not our wrap around care, but the clubs our teachers run. Does anyone have a particularly good app or process that they use rather than our current method of lots of bits of paper! Thanks
  11. Don't know if this is the right place so apologies if it isn't! We have an oldish wired HIKVision CCTV system where a couple of the cameras have died. One of them has wires strung precariously across, under and through some fencing which have unsurprisingly perished. Not wanting to dig up and replace loads I have been thinking about a stand alone solar powered system that would connect into our recorded. Has anyone done this? Do you know anyone who can advise/install it for us? We are based in Ashford in Kent Thanks
  12. My first memory was hooking up a Commodore 4 (I think) to a black and white TV, rewinding the tape so it was in the correct spot and then dodging snowballs falling from the top of the screen. It used to take me about 20 minutes to get to a point where I could play but I haven't looked back since!
  13. I have a computer that has a very strange glitch Anyone know what the white circles at the bottom of the screen could be? I have tried swapping monitor and VGA cable with no change Thanks
  14. Thanks Aprice so maybe a couple of these? https://cpc.farnell.com/pulse/bm-38/boundary-condenser-mic/dp/MP33852
  15. Hi edugeekers Having sat through a couple of nativities with children who can be loud everywhere except on the stage what strategies do people use for whole stage amplification? Also as a side note we would like to record the choir etc so the same kit would have to accomplish this Thanks
