Just out of interest, did the above guide work ok. I have found different variations on the procedure and need to pick one that is actually being used. Cheers

Samsung give you remote wipe, find your phone on map, sound alarm etc for free, so no third part app required. Samsung DIVE My lookout does do virus and malware but not sure how good it is. -

Help me setup remote desktop services
edutech4schools replied to edutech4schools's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
Not sure, what are my options? Currently have non MS https vpn that I am looking to replace with RDS. I don't think the school will be able to fund any other purchases so UAG os not an option. Is this a show stopper from a security point of view? Would a different config be more secure, say just RDP connection without the web apps. -
Help me setup remote desktop services

externally With this being a small primary they need this done on the cheap. I assume UAG is an additional cost. I like the sound of running sims as an app and will look into that. If I decide to go down the full remote desktop route do I need to install remote desktop virtualization hjost service? -
Just testing out RD services on 2008r2 network. The school is a small primary with about 10 users that might want to access the odd file and the office staff that might want to access sims. So I was thinking RD web apps with MS Office installed would cover the teachers needing access to the odd file and a remote desktop for sims. Am I correct with this approach. So far I have installed: Remote Desktop Session Host Remote Desktop Web Access Can someone advise what other services I will need to install to achieve my goal. I notice it has a service named connection broker, do I need this? Any advice / hand holding please.

Just testing pingit by Barclay's. Type someone's phone number and send them up to £300 per day. No need for them to give you any card details so no way I can use other users card details on a spending spree. -
Does it integrate with voice and gesture control?

same as above. When 2008 was added did the domain and forest functional levels get changed to 2008. if they did you can't go back.

and don't forget the next xbox is disk-less. They could stock the cartridges but MS reckon all sales will be digital.
-
Yep. but why did they decided to shut down Gamestation when it is doing better that Game. Its no wonder Game is probably going to shut down

I have done this for years. printers work fine. Chuck them out and get more free ones when the toners run out if you wish.

How often is your VLE used?
edutech4schools replied to Michael's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Update: for example the teacher in the class next to me is teaching year 3 (primary) databases. He has just created a blank database in google docs and sent it to the website. The children visit the website and are filling in the form/database. At the end the teacher will have a spreadsheet and charts with all the info collected. Very cool. -
