  1. Hello! Can anyone help with this issue please? For some reason I have multiple 'My Documents' folders on the network 'user' share. They should say the names of the users but instead they are displayed as 'My Documents' and it's impossible to find any folders and who they belong to! Some folders show the user name...others don't...It only displays them like this when accessing from a Windows 7 machine. Screenshot attached.
  2. I'll give that a try as well but i don't see how that can make the sound as the mouse isn't clicking anything...i'll try it though.
  3. A restart doesn't seem to make any difference...it's very odd. I'm going to check the sound scheme now to see if that may be the problem.
  4. Hey that's a good idea- i'll check that out.
  5. Hello. Weird issue... A PC in our school (XP) keeps making the 'mouse click' sound that happens when you open a folder or click a link on the internet. Thing is- it does it when nothing is open and there is no user activity...! Really weird. Never encountered this issue before- anyone else? It's almost like there's a ghost opening folders and clicking links in the background! Checked the task manager and can't see anything suspicious. Virus software up-to-date. Hope you can help! J x
  6. Already got one of those on our current server x
  7. That would be fantastic. I think the price does include migrating our old server, setting up SIMS, configuration etc...
  8. Hi- no part numbers i'm afraid. A comparison would be great thanks.
  9. Wow...so that's marked up at one hell of a premium then!!

  12. I just had a look at the time and date and it's all fine, however after a re-install- the message has now changed to "3/ is not a valid integer value" so the previous "2" has increased by a digit... wonder if that gives any clues? Cheers for the suggestions though x
  13. Hello. Has anyone experienced a sudden "/2" is not a valid integer value on Win7??? It's been working completely fine (according to the teacher) and is suddenly now throwing up this message. ANY HELP???
  14. Can i do this from within the Windows wireless manager? Never had to do this before so i'm not sure what i'm doing...
  15. Sounds like there's nothing else to it really... I haven't tried updating the drivers on the laptops and as far as the Firmware for the AP's goes I'm out of my depth with that. I may have to get in touch with XIRRUS (not SIRRUS as i mistakingly typed)
  16. Hi, We have a weird problem. It seems that we have a couple of Toshiba laptops that keep dropping their wireless connection in our school. They work fine in the staff members homes with a constant connection but when they bring them in- they periodically drop in and out of connection all the time. Other wireless devices work fine...it's just the Toshiba's! They are running Windows 7 64-bit and our wireless network has been installed by SIRRUS. Any ideas???
  17. SOLUTION: Make sure that in the address bar you have 'https' at the start of the URL. For some reason if you don't- you can't do anything. If it just says 'http' then stick an 's' at the end of it and you will be taken to a screen asking if you want to always use https with hotmail. Click on ALWAYS USE HTTPS. Select the 'Use HTTPS automatically' button and click SAVE That should do it!! J x
  18. Hmmm...never thought about the firewall. Do you think it's necessary for PC's to have the local firewall turned on if they're connecting through a proxy server?
  19. You haven't happened to have ghosted or cloned the troubled machines have you? I've been thinking that now... When we got our new systems I imaged them all- just wondering if something bad happened to the registry on them during the process:(
  20. Super cool dude! Thanks
  21. Hi, Where and how do we change the bulb for our Activboard +2? It's the orange one x x x J x
  22. Awesome. This worked a treat x
  23. Ah I see- i'm doing this but the printer itself keeps resetting to default dhcp...do i need to actually assign it the ip address our the server?
