You can get salamander to create users from pre admissions. Just put a ticket in. That's how we create users for our y6 taster days

Make sure that register with DNS is ticked within the vpn ip settings. We use alwayson VPN instead of direct access and this does the trick. There is a gotcha in you may need to run ipconfig /flushdns on your Sims server for it to pick up the correct IP

I was once told that if you have more than 1 hypervisor you need to make sure that each is licensed to run all your VMs to ensure you are covered in case of failure. I just use Data centre on my 3 hyper Vs to cover this

Oh I have same issue. I presumed it was firewall/filtering based but have whitelisted all URLs that seem relevant using the smooth wall live log but still same outcome

If you have a gpo that puts users into the administrator group this will also overwrite the local admin group on gpo refresh

I spent a good 2 weeks getting this working reliably for us. The documentation has a lot to be desired but the support was actually quite good. Not sure the claims that it integrates into AD can be corroborated though
