How do you set up new PC's and domain join them?
markwilfan replied to BroganOs's topic in Windows 10
If you go sccm install RCT tools too in your console client https://recastsoftware.com/ it's effing awesome -
Not used it in anger yet but came top of our tender process. I've been through configuring it and have to say it's so simple but feature rich. Did it without rtfm . Be careful to read the wizard info though as there are a few gotchas for example you can't change the length of extensions once installed. Also if you have any small sites you look after you can use a rpi3 as a session border controller to extend the system to remote sites. Benefit of this is the local calls stay local rather than going external then local again. Easy to understand licencing too which was a important to us for tco

[voip] New Phone System NEC vs Mitel vs Evonex
markwilfan replied to mdh123's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
I seriously considered freepbx before we got matted. 3cx is a good middle road I think. Not too pricey but you can see where your money has gone ie it works out the box with little to no regionalisation needed. I have too many systems to look after already to be building a bespoke pbx- 10 replies

[voip] New Phone System NEC vs Mitel vs Evonex
markwilfan replied to mdh123's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
We're doing the same. My favourite feature of some NEC phones were that they have gig pass through ports but run at 100Mbps unless you have the right licence. wtf!. Sums it up really. Our sv8100 is end of life now so can't add any new extensions as you can't add new licences. Also the backend is awful. We had demos of NEC, wildix and 3cx. Undecided as yet but my favourite and cheapest was 3cx- 10 replies

@bchiarmonte I have sent this with a screenshot via the feedback form as you have. Shows up how poor the youtube support is. There is a big accountability gap with who these issues lie with. Youtube support is impossible to contact and G Suite do not have the tools to help. It's like purgatory... hold on... this IS the bad place

Since posting this I have posted on the YT communities forum. Someone suggested g suite settings but definitely not this. Also had 2 support chats with G Suite support to which they said "not our problem" and directed me to the non-existent youtube support. Glad you posted this as was just about to fire up a vanilla VM on the edge of our network to completely rule out filtering, chrome policies or group policies. If you go into developer mode and see what is trying to load we get a call to https://myaccount.google.com/_/AccountSettingsUi/mutate?ds.extension=102625807&f.sid=-7340102138521195635&bl=boq_identityaccountsettingsuiserver_20190324.12_p0&hl=en-GB&_reqid=1451809&rt=c which gets 403'd so assume it is something to do with that. We are not inspecting ssl on this domain and have whitelisted accounts.google.com It's very frustrating, had assumed that same as you that it must be a google+ thing. Hopefully it will happen to someone with more clout than us The accounts you are having trouble with, are they on the primary domain for your G Suite tennant? We have added in a new domain so our users are using a secondary domain attached to our tennant. We have been unable to change it to the primary domain as apparently because we have android management turned on and chrome licences the google systems will not allow it. It used to work even in this configuration however so am convinced it is a back end issue.

We don't get this when connecting to one of the 50 Aruba aps on our site but we do with our 1 unifi ap in our office. Do you have a mix of APs? Maybe windows is being clever here and knows that our devices usually connect to a specific device brand.

I'll test ours tonight to compare -
We have lost the ability to add users from our G suite domain as channel owners or managers. Adding an external google account works fine. Error message is "Failed to invite users" as per screeny. We also get an invalid request message when trying to create a new channel. G Suite support has brushed us away to youtube help centre which is of no use to us. Anybody had anything similar?

You could do a loopback policy to do this

Suggestions and opinions on new Visitor management system
markwilfan replied to dapaulio's topic in Educational Software
Interesting about Paxton integration. I broke our inventry by trying to set it up. Was told it wasn't ready yet. Even though the configuration was there in the GUI doh. I was told it would just be if you signed in it would unlock a door so interesting what you said about signing in via a Paxton door
