Yeh in the past... Read that as it hasn't been updated yet. I suspect outsourced Devs especially considering all the engrish that appears in their GUI and language packs -

Just don't rely on their app. It's shocking but luckily it's being updated at the end of Feb 2019. Also the multi site functionality of inventry central is buggier than a cow pat in a Somerset field in August -
+1 for shared nothing hyper-v config. We have 2 main hypervisors and a backup less powerful one. Super stable and really quick with local raid 10 storage . OS running on ssds in raid 1

Some of our science teachers have this set up. Causes havoc for cover as it's a non standard setup. Don't ask me why -
3 secondary schools and 3 primaries currently with the view to build a standard package when we take more schools on. We have 3 very competent nms (including me lol)

Ours is set up and works fine most of the time. We also have the issue you described and found the fix for this... Wait for it.... Double reboot! Not just 1 reboot. 2. Weird

I remember having this a while back. Only fix I found was to delete the sccm entry for the client, image the next one and rinse and repeat. You can create a collection to find the duplicate guids

We've just stopped the pc from sleeping between 8 and 5

Forgot to mention the fabulous stressball from @ICTDirect_Dave . It got nabbed by my 3 year old who absolutely adores it.

A "friend" of mine used developer tools to change the barcode and printed a proper badge and a fake badge. He only lets people he wants to chat to scan his real badge. [emoji23]

UTM to allow UEFI boot to SCCM for OS deployment
markwilfan replied to techie17's topic in Wired Networks
From what I remember you only need a secondary server if you go above 100000 clients. As previously said so will do the trick -
Could somebody check Apple School Manager for me. I can't log on anymore. Just pings me back to the user ID once I put my password in. Is it just me? TIA - - - Updated - - - Scratch that. Just logged in

@Zoom7000 If I could steal some of your time on the Saturday I'd be really grateful. Will be just myself and my tech as the others didn't want to go to BETT this time.

Exactly my thoughts. When staff move sites at the moment it's a bit of a faff and as we all have separate systems I can only provide support on my site to my users. I did see someone describe this as "turkeys planning Christmas" once but it really excites me and pooling our resources we'd have an awesome team

3 secondary schools and 3 primaries currently. We want to build a "standard package" for when the trust grows.

Hi Guys Our MAT is keen to join our networks together and share IT resources i.e. centralise lots of things. We were just wondering if there are any Network Managers in the South West that would be happy to meet up with us that have gone through a similar project. We're after the traditional WWW EBI stuff and what you wouldn't repeat if you could do it again. We have already met up with @localzuk who very kindly hosted us for a cuppa and a chat Thanks in advance Mark
