  1. It's iSAMS rejigged for state sector. They have so few customers currently that their pricing has to be aggressive.
  2. I would've thought this would be part of your DLP and in 365 Compliance. You should be able to whitelist certain accounts, or have them go to a quarantine for checks before being allowed through. (Google house here so I can't point you exactly!)
  3. Hadn't heard of this before, so thanks for warning me that this inevitable craze is going to hit us.
  4. "Our 'Next Gen Project' will allow SIMS to evolve continuously with ever improving capabilities that add value to your investment in SIMS. It will be delivered seamlessly, without disruption. Our investment in the future of school MIS will begin to deliver from Q1 2022" From Q1 2022 we will also be offering enhanced browser-based access to all existing SIMS features, giving even more schools a cost effective and performant alternative to SIMS on premise. Q1 2022 ends in 28 days. Has anyone who is sticking with SIMS seen any delivery on this yet?
  5. To be fair, thats nothing compared to the SIMS cloud based vapourware!
  6. Really pleased to hear that we're getting Alerts via web push. Bromcom clearly listen to customer feedback when it comes to feature requests. Good news timetable is getting the love too.
  7. Well someone saw Canva and liked the way it worked didn't they?!
  8. I'd guess your best option would be a laptop with Thunderbolt 3/4 and then an eGPU?
  9. The days of headteachers making executive decisions for schools or MATs is long gone. What a shame he didn't realise that.
  10. It doesn't appear on title plans, but does appear on deed plans.
  11. Look at your deeds, and see where the "T" mark sits. Whichever plot of land it heads into, is the person who owns the boundary and therefore whose fence it is legally.
  12. Unless you get a several year old second-hand device, you're not going to be finding anything worth using that runs Windows 10/11 for that price.
  13. Now they've combined calls with the license, we're looking at it. I know @rogerdnixon has gone down this route.
  14. You license based on your student numbers, so i can't see test students being a problem. Though I would speak to your reseller, really.
  15. Sorry, yes, Reseller Prince Maintenance is done by many companies - but I'm sure it's not entirely legal anyway - still, no one seems to stick to it.
  16. There is wiggle room, as legally Google cannot fix prices on anyone. They'd love for everyone to sell at the same price, but they can't make resellers do that.
  17. They also increased all new Chromebooks to 8 years of guaranteed support from 4 originally and 5 since 2018. So it works out about £3.75 a year.
  18. Well I've spent a good chunk of this morning digging through our Audit Logs between 9am and 3pm from yesterday to see if there were VPNs causing this. We have one or two issues with staff, but I think I've found the issue. It seems that SBB is at any particular time of the day assigning one of three IP addresses our way. So what's happening is we have people using Google and flipping between these three IP addresses, which is clearly making Google suspicious and triggering it. I can go to http://www.whatismyipaddress.com and http://www.whatismyip.com at the same time and both will give me a different IP address.
  19. That's the point though, you won't need to buy a Cloudready licence, you'll just need to have the management license, which any Google Partner can sell you.
  20. Escalate it up the management chain. That's completely unacceptable.
  21. I believe we have our own IP address presented to the world, but it's very unlikely to be a compromised device as we are a Chromebook school.
  22. Looks like the issue with Google Calendar / Google and unusual traffic is back yet again. This has been going intermittently since November, but this time it's affecting Google Sites so we can't use that tool anymore. I tether off and it works just fine. One day I hope that things will just work.
  23. Not currently. I would create a Sub-OU for those students to sit in.
  24. Get them to remove any extensions that were connected with Google Meet. Seems that changes to Gmail are being affected by old Meet extensions that are no longer supported after the lockdown situation has eased.
  25. Do you have your DMARC, SPD and DKIM set up?
