  1. Bet this is a dependency error. Something will have included dotnet or similar and they are now installing in a different order.
  2. School logic. Can pay for the exams and the laptop but think software is something that should be free. 5 years of study for that student all jeopardized because finance think software is something that can be scrimped on. Maybe the IT teacher can just knock something up.
  3. Ah, Hello Human person Measureup and the msoffical practise tests are both approved non dumps.
  4. I used the MS Press Book, Udemy (John Christopher) and did the ms practise test a number of times. I think Pass4Future is a dump site and therefore shouldn't be used. You are a bot aren't you. Why Am I talking to a bot!!!
  5. paying them to point out the 12 year old computers and moonwalk back out the door there.
  6. Dell accidental damage is a misnomer. It should be called present a remnant warranty. So long as you have the remains of the device they will honour it. We've had house fires and laptops run over. The phone call takes about a minute as you pull out the warranty card , you can get all cosmetic parts replaced yearly and if you give them enough reason they will straight replace it with a similar new model.
  7. No. Governors for nuclear option, resume for the fall out.
  8. Look at your lifecycles. New - Go for Dell education. Accidental damage warranty gives you total cost of ownership for the lifetime. Models look the same from year to year, always going to be easy to work on and parts largely interchangeable. Single brand allows you to manage the estate more easily. accidental damage warranty saves time logging as well. Just phone them up and tell them it's been in a fire and they'll send you a new one. DEll Latitude 3550 Laptop - £900 ex vat business price. Will be cheaper for education. 5 years no quibble warranty excluding batteries. Batteriwes are about £40 and a few screws on the base. refurb - ICT direct but accept that some will die along the way and you'll have a mixed estate.
  9. That salespeople will listen to what the end user says. If the end user is a finance person who doesn't really understand what the end user wants and can't articulate it, and if the sales person is just there to nod in agreement. Get a list of things people want, even if it's basic and present it to the sales person and demand answers.
  10. use classroom management software to block the internet, or scupper the proxy using gpo. Both only break the browser.
  11. That's the one, and my follow up question was going to be which materials did people use!. The links are sparse and not always related.
  12. Has anyone sat the Google OS admin exams?
  13. What's more likely, a service outage or an site outage?. What do the safeguarding team do when there is a powercut? or when the building can't be entered?, what do they do when they are offsite? Time to look at their risk assessment and compare it.
  14. Had this with impero, the mirror drivers disable the brightness features https://support.imperosoftware.com/en/support/solutions/articles/44001771934-blank-screen-driver-for-windows-10-v6-4-
