Yes! You absolutely do. You're asking for trouble if not. Do you have them on an SSID that is segmented away from the rest of the network? They should be treated as guest wi-fi, on a sub-net from the rest of your school devices, throttled and port limited to allow them only to access the web, essentially. You don't want a guest device appearing on your network and then happily torrenting away. I would also consider guest access controls, so they need to login with a Google/Facebook/Apple login for an access token... or make access tokens available to collect from somewhere/sent via SMS.

Personally, if jobs aren't advertised with salaries I'm fine with that. If they won't disclose it when you request it on applying though, then its not work pursuing.

We have devices set to log out when lid closes. Another step that makes them not want to bother closing the lid, tbh!

We use Uniflow online with Canon machines. Works very well for us, just needs the extension on the Chromebooks and off we go! Ultimately Uniflow is Canon's software, so from one aspect you have a single place of failure. If you have a problem with Papercut on a Canon device they can easily start pointing fingers at each other as to whose responsibility it is.

and herein lies a problem - we don't have staff only areas like that. Also our MIS can flag these things up in registers, so I think that is as detailed as they need to get myself. They get a flag to remind them every time they open a register.

Hi all, So. Big discussion currently happening regarding putting student medical information on posters and putting them in office spaces (attached to classrooms) or management office spaces also. Several of us are insistent that this doesn't happen as its protected category data and a breach would be a disaster. The rooms could easily be left unlocked (and would be unlocked, locking it constantly would be seen as inconvenient) and students can easily access them, and several other issues - but we have a new safeguarding officer who is refusing to take no as an answer and is trying to build an alliance of people who agree with her... Shes saying we could get parent consent too. She is very vague about updating them, etc... I'm insisiting it won't happen, but what do others think? Should we do it?

You don't need to do that. Whilst you can connect a reseller with your domain to allow them to support you, you don't need to.
