Gmail stuck on loading for users
csmith0504 replied to csmith0504's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Thanks all. Funnily enough we do have some users that took it upon themselves to download some extensions for Google Meet while we were learning remotely in lockdown, so I suspect that is the cause. I've blocked them now so hopefully the issue goes away. Thanks again. -
Gmail stuck on loading for users

Thank you, I will try this next time and post the findings. Glad to hear it's not just us! -
Hi, We've had a number of users report that their Gmail refuses to load up and gets stuck at the end of the red progress bar at 90%. Nothing has changed on our network so I am wondering if anyone else has started experiencing this suddenly and if Google have changed something that I need to adjust on our Smoothwall? I have noticed that clearing the cache in Chrome resolves the issue, but it returns the next day for the same users, for 4-5 days now Thanks

Hi, We currently have 500 named (user) licences for Creative Cloud and we are using Google SSO (Federated Login via SAML) as our account creation / management method. Students can use creative cloud in all of the ICT Suites and various laptops around the school. Since the new Creative Cloud 2020 has been released, we have rolled it out to only one of our ICT Suites, the other ICT areas have the older Creative Cloud 2018/19. With the old 2019/18 CC if a student logs in to Creative Cloud on any of the various laptops/other ICT Suites, and have more than 3 active sessions, when they try to login to a different device (the fourth device) creative cloud asks them to sign out of one of the older sessions in order to sign in where they are currently logging in, which works fine. The new 2020 CC seems to have changed, when the fourth device is logged into, CC tells the user to login to Adobe Account Management and clear one of the older sessions themselves. The issue with this is that the "Active Sessions" tab does not appear in the users Adobe Profile at all, and thus the student cannot use any Adobe CC apps. 2020 CC seems to use SAML now as opposed to before where this was not available, and this is what we are now using.Has anyone experienced this before? How can I solve it? Thanks

[SCCM] Required Task Sequence Deployments Repeating
csmith0504 posted a topic in Enterprise Software
Hi all, We have just setup & configured SCCM CB on our domain and have begun testing before rolling things out (while learning as well). We'd like to be in a position where we can essentially zero-touch re-image an IT suite of workstations (known computers). If we deploy a task sequence (that re-images and installs applications, OU settings, etc) to a device collection, everything seems to work smoothly. However, if we set the deployment to required, the test workstation will eventually begin the task sequence as normal, re-image and install applications. Once it is complete, it will repeat that process again and re-image again until it has finished, and will then repeat the process again. It seems to re-image itself non-stop once it is set to required and I am struggling to work out why. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -
Thanks bjantke. We managed to solve it after so long as well, we upgraded our CA cert to SHA256 over SHA1 which was an old one we were using on our NPS and eventually managed to get it working.

Sorry to bring up a really old thread, we are currently suffering from a similar issue. Did you ever manage to get it working?

[ms office - 2016] SIMS.NET Report issue
csmith0504 replied to csmith0504's topic in Office Software
Wow, this fixed it. Thank you so much, this has been going on for months, I feel like a bit of an idiot now! Shame that Capitas first response to me on this issue was to contact Microsoft... -
[ms office - 2016] SIMS.NET Report issue
csmith0504 replied to csmith0504's topic in Office Software
Tried, to no avail -
Hi, My colleague is having an issue with running SIMS.NET Reports and exporting into Excel. When a report is ran that includes the parameter "Address Block" and the selected students addresses are chosen to be ran in the report, the report is exported into excel and runs ok. However, instead of Address Block creating an address with line breaks inside the cell, it is inputting "X!$X" instead, and I cannot figure out why. I have expended all solution suggestions from Capita and unfortunately it hasn't solved it. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?

Let me know how you get on. We really cannot get it working here..

I have also trialled LTSC 2019 on our workstations through MDT deployment, twice actually. The first was 6 months ago and after some problems concluded that LTSC 2019 is missing a certificate for NPS Radius WiFi to work, at all. The second was last week, and the issue is still there, i'm not sure if you use NPS Radius Wifi, but if so just something to be aware of. Windows 10 Start Menu broke by disabling applocker
csmith0504 replied to Theldron's topic in Windows 10
Managed to solve it at the end of the day yesterday. It turned out that the issue I was having was occurring because I hadn't generated default allow rules for all 4 sections (executables, installers, scripts and packaged apps). Only creating default allow rules for executables was causing the start menu issues among other issues, but it is working now which I am very pleased about. -
Windows 10 Start Menu broke by disabling applocker
csmith0504 replied to Theldron's topic in Windows 10
Sorry to bump a resolved thread. I have decided to look into the Applocker policy today as it looks like it would solve a few issues we have here. After generating the default allow rules, any deny policy I create (Publisher, File Hash or Path) either 1. doesn't work, 2. breaks the start menu so it doesn't open or 3. works and blocks the app and also breaks the start menu. After further investigation I found that without any deny rules that I create, the default allow settings that are generated are breaking the start menu as well, i'm hoping by posting here someone may have an idea for me, Google is getting me nowhere. We are running Windows 10 LTSB 2016 Enterprise on the workstations.
