machy Posted April 30, 2025 Posted April 30, 2025 I'm not sure if i am using the right page/feed But on /discover/ if you leave the page open in the background for a period of time, and then click on the "there is a new item to view" link This then will load multiple "widgets" for the same post, but a full refresh of the page then has one for each post individually I am also not particularly bothered, just something i have noticed 1

ZeroHour Posted May 29, 2025 Posted May 29, 2025 Just to say those that want to test a tweaked theme and answer some questions please drop me a line.

DalekSec Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 I think the one thing i know a lot of people would like and hopefully a quick win is more themes, dark mode all the things! Unless your name is @BKGarry 1

It will be very much based on the old Dark mode which still had a lot of white actually. I would like to knock out an OLED true black dark mode as well though. 1
ZeroHour Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 A beta of the Dark theme using a lot of the colours from the old site's dark theme should be accessible now for Testers using the Theme menu at the bottom of the site. Bordering and spacing improvements still to come. 1 1
JonThompson Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Can confirm that the full dark mode also carries across to the iOS web version - nice contrast with the red and black. Thanks @ZeroHour! 1
ZeroHour Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 There is a new forum for testers in "EduGeek Stuff" tab at the bottom. 1
mavhc Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 Quoting search doesn't work https://www.edugeek.net/search/?&q="microsoft designer"&quick=1&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy Also search defaulting to the current thread is annoying, after a failed search it's 3 clicks to fix it. If the search box (top right) was prefilled with the search text that would make it only 1 click to fix 1

LeMarchand Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 How come Windows 8 is "legacy" but not Windows 7? 1 1

Norphy Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 Perhaps it should be better to say "Any version of Windows prior to Windows 10 or Server 2016" or something along those lines.
ZeroHour Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 12 hours ago, LeMarchand said: How come Windows 8 is "legacy" but not Windows 7? Yeah I will be looking at moving it and sorting out mistaken threads that are w11 now. It was left primarily because when I looked (and was doing a lot of things at the same time) at first glance there had been some recent posts. Been mostly doing styles for various things lately and tightening the site spacing but I hope to push them this week. A *Dimmed* theme in the works with a lot of welcome feedback from @Zoom7000 1

Jawloms Posted July 9, 2025 Posted July 9, 2025 How do you get to the member list now? Apologies if it's obvious, but I am a bloke so you know I'm not going to see things that are right in front of me!
Andycat Posted July 9, 2025 Posted July 9, 2025 Is there a way of displaying the forums as single threads, rather than every reply as a separate line? Less scrolling would be nice. Apologies if this is simple/obvious but I've tried random clicks to no avail and my brain is dead.
ZeroHour Posted July 9, 2025 Posted July 9, 2025 1 hour ago, Jawloms said: How do you get to the member list now? It is blocked right now as a direct list due to bots being bots and harvesting it (it was also restricted under the old site) but I will look at detecting logged in people to allow it. 1 hour ago, Andycat said: Is there a way of displaying the forums as single threads, rather than every reply as a separate line? Could you possible paste in a screenshot of what you mean? I am not quite sure although the spacing between posts is going to be reduced a bit very soon: 1
