In our school only small amount of staff was tested. Not a single child

I had my second weekly test this week and they started testing the key-working students this week!

EDIT: I have to say the staff volunteers have done an AMAZING job!

Do you know why that is?

Management only ask volunteers if they want to be tested. Don't know about why they didn't start with students, maybe something together that we have max 60 students in school during this lock down

This is concerning. He just announced a measure that is quite severe, before it is apparent to the wider population that it is required.

I'm quite worried now.

Ours too. We've had testing running since last week, staff can get done as often as they want (though at least once a week is required for on-site workers) and similar regime for on-site students.

Biggest day was when we ran some exams with a few hundred kids.

Such a stressful time for everyone, but the team is really delivering.

Notable that a couple of the team running the process have lived through past national disaster level traumas elsewhere, and were the first to step up.

Mrs mikeprice has just asked me to keep an eye out for a parcel being delivered for her

apparently anyone who is elderly - or in the shielding group - can apply for a delivery of Vitamin D because they are probably not going out much

just thought people ought to know!

apparently it is best taken with calcium - she said - and she generally knows about medical stuff having worked in care and at a hospital for most of her life

anyway - I suggested we check and if there is no calcium included then I could ask the butcher for a bone she could gnaw

just to check - women rolling their eye is a sign of love??????

asking for a friend

Oh yes, absolutely it is! The other look with the eyes is a very different experience - you'll know if that happens!

In the tortoise keeping world we know that vitamin D is necessary to help the body metabolise dietary calcium. We recommend offering cuttlebone which you get from the bird aisle of your pet shop. Or finely ground egg shells sprinkled sparsely on food.

Just put it on the floor whole and it gets chomped on when required.

My sister-in-law got her first coronavirus vaccination today. Her second one is scheduled for the 15th of March.

She works in the NHS with residential and non-residential psychiatric patients.

I’m sure I remember you saying at one stage that Mrs Mikeprice sometimes reads edugeek? If so, you’re dead meat anyway, so I can’t see it making much difference....

Been there, done that...

Went to Tesco this morning as we were out of bread

It was good to see that they have upped the number of security people on the entrance and are asking people to sanitise their hands on the way in - and had stopped a couple that appeared to be intending to shop together to advise them that they were not supposed to do that

Fingers crossed our one follows. Though I think I may have to brace Sainsbury's this week.
