Show them a 120GB SSD and thell them that this is what goes into a lot of computers these days, for everything!

Why so huge? Have you ran a foldersize to see what it is in the profile. Use folder redirection. I'm surprised the user doesnt complain its slow to login.

Yes. No profile should be that big. Redirected folders or cloud storage if the files are actually needed. Else recode the media , remove duplicates and move to the right storage media.

Thanks everyone, sorry not replied sooner.

 

Not wanting to go into to much detail, but a number of you have hit on all the right assumptions!!!

 

Will be having words and sorting it out!!

Only guessing here, very large Downloads folder? You could have a logon / logoff script that clears the folder each time.

 

Edit: Just had a look, I've got a 25GB Downloads folder. Whoops! :)

Look for:

Massive video files (high resolution high bitrate recordings dumped from a video camera or phone).

Photos (dumped from a digital camera or phone).

Massive PowerPoint files that contain either of the above.

 

That can all be made more sensible through transcoding/deleting.
