  1. Hi all, Thanks for your replies/suggestions. Yes, my first route would be for them to have the app on their phone for the school email so that they just get straightforward notifications - and I'm sure that this will work for the majority of people. I just recall that we had a little bit of pushback about it last time, so I just wanted to see if there was something easy to setup which would drop them a 'ping' in their personal email inbox letting them know there is something in their school account as an alternative. I'll take a look at Power Automate (but would this need to be setup for each person) and also the Exchange Mail flow rules alert sending ... thanks for the suggestions. 🙂
  2. Hi We provide governors with @school email accounts to avoid governance business being conducted through personal email addresses. Some governors have asked for their school emails to be forwarded to their personal accounts, which I'd prefer not to do. I've seen mention of a solution that sends an automatic notification to a governor's personal email when there is a new message waiting in their school mailbox, without forwarding the email itself. Has anyone set this up and, if so, could you share how you did it? Thanks in advance!
  3. These sound great - I will take a look. Thanks. Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced refurbished phones that have good cameras ... ?
  4. Interesting thread! We have been through many rounds of various types of digital cameras over the years ... Aldi own brand, Panasonic, Sony ... but the teachers always seem to complain that the photo quality is dreadful! We don't have iPads here. I am keen to find a solution so that all classes can have their own camera for photos/videos ... and am leaning towards the smartphone option (as I wonder if this could also be setup with Google Photos to automatically back them up to somewhere for the teacher to find later). We are starting to post on social media a lot more - so the quality needs to be good. I'd be interested in any recommendations. Are smartphones the way to go? Thanks
  5. Thanks! I think maybe all laptop trolleys look the same after half a term no matter what we do! How on earth Laptop 1 is plugged into Laptop 9's cable and all the other criss-crosses will never cease to amaze me!! I'm going with clips and extra cable ties this time .... roll on October half-term for the big reveal of what it looks like by then!!
  6. Hello, Does anyone have a way of cabling a laptop trolley to stop the cables being yanked out and ending up looking like a bad hair day? Do you bundle the spare cable and tie it up so that there is just enough spare cable for it to be plugged into the device? Is it OK to bundle the cables like this when charging? I have tried many different ways/ties/clips but still after half a term it looks like Medusa on a bad day! Any suggestions/photos would be appreciated! Thanks in advance 🙂
  7. OK, thanks. I used to use PRM Greentech and had access to an online portal to see my collections/certficates, etc. Not sure if the Envio Electronics also have this sort of system?
  8. That's interesting about needing to have a contract with a WEEE supplier - do Enviro Electronics offer such a thing? Most of the emails I have sent with queries to them are responded to with one liners - they don't always sound the most professional outfit! Anyone else had the same?
  9. Ah yes, good point! Our Chromebooks are the smaller 11.6" but would like something that is capable of holding up to around 14" size just in case we size-up at a later date. Thanks
  10. We are looking at purchasing a new charging trolley for our Chromebooks (either two that hold 15 Chromebooks or one that holds 30). Someone has sent me a link to these on Amazon ... they seem a very cost effective option, however they cost much less than anything else I have seen which worries me slightly! https://amzn.eu/d/063Mh90c Is anyone using something like this? Or does anyone have any suggestions for other budget-friendly options from tried and tested suppliers? Thanks in advance!
  11. Thanks - that's interesting about the ediscovery premium, I shall have a look.
  12. I'm currently looking into some options for this in terms of a tool that will allow us to refine the search returns, deduplicate and save as pdf to then be able to perform the redactions. I have looked at e-Redact, Nalytics and will be taking a look at Smartbox.ai and Acuity. If anyone has any others I could have a look at - suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks 🙂
  13. Thanks @browolf - I will take a look. Do the premium features include the ability to search with case sensitive keywords - as I can't seem to see how to do that with the basic version I have using the Keyword search...
  14. Thanks @AndrewJWalls - Does Acuity have the ability to convert .pst to pdf?
  15. Hi, Does anyone here use Acuity AutoRedact: https://acuityautoredact.com for SAR request data? It looks like a very interesting tool but I think I'd need to look into the data processing side of things before jumping in ... Would appreciate any pointers as what I need to check for before going ahead with the free trial. Thanks
