mrbios Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Oh i'll have to join in with this one tomorrow, i've got a depressing view of some bins :|
jedmondson Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 My `office` is currently a pub kitchen. The view out of the door window is of the bar and outside that is a main road. (Not doing it just my chef job.)
beaches511 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) I work on the top floor of the tallest building on Birmingham University Campus. Bit grey out today over the city so these are from earlier in the year Edited December 8, 2015 by beaches511 adding additional picture
mrbios Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) My turn to show off how awesome and amazing my view is, prepare to be jealous! Bins, a metal grate, and a rusting shipping container, and that's if i turn around....looking forwards i get the back of an old mans head. (well, monitors first of course, he's not literally sat between me and the desk) Edited December 8, 2015 by mrbios

Boredguy Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Normal view If we open the blinds (and the sun doesn't get in @DJ-1701's eyes) 1
mrbios Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) And the award for 'Worst View' goes to.......... I should probably get the award for worst smell too. Summer heat = stink. Bin day when the whole lot gets disturbed = stink. I almost never open my window, and the extractor fan above me is set to only ever set to extract, because if it gets set to intake my desk gets plastered with little dead flys. :| EDIT: I've actually got a big black out blind that i normally keep permanently down in the winter, and throughout the mornings in the summer....the sun rises in that direction and burns my back if i don't have it. mikeprice Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 No point in pulling the blinds back due to the paper on the windows that can't be removed or the 'office' will overheat in summer (or any day with sun) And in any case the windows are filthy and can't be cleaned due to the mesh grills on the outside - which block the view as well Can all those with views across fields , of historic buildings, of herds of majestic Wildebeat roaming over the prairie etc etc please swop??
abillybob Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I'm jealous you even get windows. Yup same here. Surely the 'worst view' should go to those who don't have a view and they look at a brick wall all day. Hell, I never know half the time if it's sunny or raining!

Boredguy Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Get him to wear sunglasses? I just send him to the primary for 2 days and open the blinds when he's out the office mwahahahahah
claireadams Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I just send him to the primary for 2 days and open the blinds when he's out the office mwahahahahah Secret vampire? 1
DJ-1701 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Get him to wear sunglasses? The window is to the side, so it would get past the sunglasses unfortunately ... plus, I might burst into flames. I just send him to the primary for 2 days and open the blinds when he's out the office mwahahahahah 1
Boredguy Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Get him to wear sunglasses? Secret vampire? I suppose he could be "Blade" as he is wearing a leather jacket these days and able to go out in the sunlight.. 1

6Foot2 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 A neighbour of the school has complained that windows of a building of our look directly into his so that when he comes out of his en suite shower naked as the day he was born he can be seen by anyone in 'The House' as we call it. The school has agreed to frost the windows of The House that look in that direction. My Questions: Why doesn't he close his curtains? If it were just another neighbour [rather than a school] would he tell them they should frost their windows? What has been happening up till now? [What changed?] Why should the school pay to address an issue that is caused by his behavour?

Sometimes it's just not worth making a fuss and for good neighbourly relations we often have to do things that don't quite seem logical.....
Arreks Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 The solution is simple, rather than install frosted windows - install a shower.
