I know, I can't get used to it yet. Work are sweet, usually we don't change usernames just add a new email addy and change display names but they messaged me the other day to say they created a .pst and a made a new username for me so it's all been changed

It’s been a while and I’ve no idea if anyone will remember me, looking briefly through the threads I remember many of you and hope you’re all well. I don’t even know when I last posted but it’s been a busy 13months. I now have a house and this past week I done a thing

So, I don't work in Education anymore but I do need to shoot off some emails to our hosted systems to find out if they are compliant, and prove via a policy/statement. Would you list a load of questions and ask them for evidence in the first case eg: Where are your data and applications stored? Is that data ever moved out of the EEA? Do you ever transfer data between data centers outside of the EU? Do you always inform me when my data is being transferred? Do you have a Data Protection Officer? What data controls and risk management processes do you have in place? What is your formal procedure for reporting out on data leaks? How do you manage the version release process on your platform to ensure adequate level of data protection? Who can access my data, under what circumstances and what can they see? Is this access tracked? Do you currently adhere to Binding Corporate Rules? Do you have measures in place to become GDPR compliant in time for May 2018? Or would you ask them if they are compliant and could they provide a statement/policy as evidence then question more as above if you aren't happy with the response?

I just wanted to send a quick thank you again to everyone. Between myself and my friend we raised almost £800.

Yeah, I'm guessing we'll end up waiting and hoping it gets fixed. I've raised around 100 tickets now and each time they 'fix' it but it's only ever a temp fix, and doesn't break before they close the call down.

unfortunately Microsoft have been as useful as a chocolate teapot so far.

We've got several users who are having issues opening documents (word and excel so far). They get the 'Access denied. Contact your administrator' error, followed by 'Word could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable' then it launches a repair center. On closing those errors the document will either open or not, but the next time you try it might open first time. It's very sporadic and makes no sense, it leaves no trace in the event viewer so I've really got nothing to go off at all. Microsoft's 'help' has been to either run the repair or remove and re-install which seems to fix the issue for a matter of hrs then it happens again. Is anyone else having the same issues with O365? has anyone got any suggestions?

Never have been a fan, still not. Gave it a listen more than once though

ours is a very simple: Please select answers for the following questions Question #1: How would you rate the quality of the service you received from the helpdesk for this incident? Answer: Poor Fair Good Very Good Excellent with a comment box underneath. Not sure if it's unusual or not but we have around a 95% response rate for every closed ticket

Sorry to hear about your friend, my dad also ended up having to get a bag. We were close to loosing him for the 3rd time a few years back. It's such a taboo illness for some reason.
