Ep 2 is not so much about the workers but focusses on the increasing desperateness of the state cover-up and the gradual realisation of the senior figures that it's already too late

Just gutted it's not got all episodes on box-set yet, would happily watch the other 3 episodes in one night

Maybe I'm old but I quite like the old fashioned idea of having to wait a week for the next one - gives you a chance to talk about it etc etc

Not that we don't watch box sets - but the waiting can add something

Chernobyl is one of my top two historic events that grip me (Other being the Mongols). When i was growing up i had a childminder who was part of a programme that every summer looked after Chernobyl kids. So i met a good chunk of people from there so it's always interested me! Watched countless docs and read a couple of books (just got another Audiobook about it).

I don't know how much of the show is fact or fiction as there were a few bits i wasn't aware of! Will have to fact check! But i am enjoying it (if you can enjoy something like this!)

I'm with you on this. But I am probably older than many on here.

Thought this was brilliant! loved how it took them over 5 years to get all the documents and find out what happened!

As far as I know, all characters are real with the exception of the Emily Watson character who is a composite of several prominent scientists who were involved at the time.

That agrees with what my wife told me

it is therefore true - this is known

I love the film so was interested to see how they changed it into a series. First episode very promising :)

Thanks for reminding me, was going to watch that on iPlayer as I noticed the episodes air on Sunday. :)

The film version is available on iTunes to rent for 99p or £2.99 to buy. I agree, it is great. :D

Checked out Paradise PD on Netflix. I'm 3 episodes in and... It's alright. Not really anything exceptional, though. I could take it or leave it. Probably won't finish the season if it doesn't pick up a bit more soon.

I wasn't a fan of the film, but have watched some of this because of Matt Berry. I think I prefer it - at least I've laughed out loud a few times.

Been watching Whiskey Cavalier, which has been fun. Already cancelled, though. Not a surprise as they kept pushing back its release.

The OH has just finished S1&2 of Stranger Things on Netflix.

Apparently S1 was brilliant, S2 started really well but became more meh as it went on to the point she's not bothering with S3 when it comes out in July...

We've recently got Netflix and my son has started watching Spongebob Squarepants on it. It was on when I was in the room the other day. Spongebob walked on to the stage and started reading a limerick, then said "Oops, sorry. Wrong one.". My boy looked at me funny when I laughed quite loudly. He didn't have a clue what I had found so funny.

There once was a man from Nantucket

Who kept all his cash in a bucket.

But his daughter, named Nan,

Ran away with a man

And as for the bucket, Nantucket.

But he followed the pair to Pawtucket,

The man and the girl with the bucket;

And he said to the man,

He was welcome to Nan,

But as for the bucket, Pawtucket.

Then the pair followed Pa to Manhasset,

Where he still held the cash as an asset,

But Nan and the man

Stole the money and ran,

And as for the bucket, Manhasset.

Magicians - never saw what happened at the end of season 4 coming!!

Just finished it. Sad now, and don't think I'll ever hera "Take on Me" again without thinking about "that" scene.

Wonder what they're planning for S5, as they seem to have split everyone up again.

I tend to agree with this, but I'll still watch S3. They had a really strong visual concept, which was fine for one series but they tried to do the same thing again (sort-of) and it became a little stale.
