phreak Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 This week I have binged/finished the following: Stranger things S 3. Watched it over the course of 2 days with the missus. I enjoyed it.... however, it does feel a little like it is repeating the same story as before. I know there are differences and it has "grown up", but still. Won't stop us from watching S4 as and when it comes out of course. Finished The Boys today. Loved the show. The ending... didn't quite know what to do with that. I mean so many loose ends... But still, very good overall . Started/Finished the BBC show Ghosts. Very, very funny. Got a lot of the cast from Horrible Histories (the show I mean) and just well written. Can't wait from them to make more of it. Oh and started on Sex Education. This one grows on you, both me and the missus enjoying this one
browolf Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 I’m liking Wu Assassins on Netflix. And there’s something about the way it’s filmed.
CAWJames Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Finished "The Boys" too, so..many..cliffhangers 1
FishCustard Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Watching Westworld at the moment (yes, yes, I know, we're behind) - very very interesting and a great ride so far. The non-linearity can be a little confusing at times, but as long as you're awake and switched on you can follow easily.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Started The Boys with the Mrs the other day. We're both hooked! Grim and hilarious in equal measure. Only two episodes to watch (probably tonight) and then it's a long wait for series 2.
mavhc Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Fear The Walking Dead, now with free nuclear radiation!
LeMarchand Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Finished Lucifer S4. Entertaining but, as lovely as she was, Eve did come across like a sexed-up version of Ella. Also, no-one seems to have noticed that Chloe's kid is MIA - still, she's got a good agent as she was always in the cast list.
CHiLL Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Just finished season 4 of Billions. I've liked the show as a whole throughout the different series. Season 4 was good, but it's just not as good as earlier seasons (like with most shows). Though it has been renewed for season 5, airing in 2020.

Chloe's kid popped up from time to time, I guess the storyline didn't require her too much this season. I agree about Eve, however I'd still pay good money to watch Eve & Maze do bounty hunting!
HarryMonkey Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Just finished watching Manifest on Sky, can't wait for next season.
phreak Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Peaky Blinders has returned! Didn't get to watch it last night though so will be watching it tonight on return home. Also Ballers has started again. Only problem is that the episodes always feel too short.
mikeprice Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Managed to watch the new Peaky Blinders - loved it Several family members also watched it and thought it was boring/nothing happened I think they must watch different TV than us with the same titles or something

It wouldn’t be Peaky Blinders without it [emoji1]
Syman_a Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Not that it wasn't cool, but Peaky Blinders did feel a little bit style over substance at times. The first series was great, the second, not so much, not watched any since. I have just started watching Stranger Things on Netflix.

It wouldn’t be Peaky Blinders without it [emoji1] Yup - bit like Game of Thrones - we used to count the warning before it started - it was often a full set until some of the actresses started pointing out that full frontal nudity was not actually necessary to the plot in any way - in the vast majority of cases
CHiLL Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Will your BIL's show being made public? Reminds me of Trabant Trek (it's on Amazon Prime, sorth a watch)The film of the rally has been uploaded to their website: http://www.tyrestraits.com/filmportal
LeMarchand Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Watched the Swamp Thing pilot. Wasn't the greatest show ever made, but not worthy of immediate cancellation. I wonder if they had data that showed that only a handful of people signed up to DC Universe just for the show.
sted Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 started re watching Babylon 5 for no real reason i can think of. Im enjoying it a lot more than star trek discovery 1 season of that was as much as i could be bothered with (and even then it was an effort to finish watching it) 1
ICTDirect_Dave Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 I thought Discovery was Genuinely excellent! Best trek in years. As for B5. It might look a little dated vfx-wise, but it still stands up as an exceptional show all these years later!
featured_spectre Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 The US Office - Never get bored of this, even my 10 year old finds it funny. DS9 - Was weak to start with, but came to its on from Season 3 onwards when the whole Dominion thing presented itself, though felt the end was extremely rushed, could have done with a Season 8 to deal with the after effects of the War, Worf on Qonos, Odo with the founders, Cardassian recovery etc. Voyager - another one that ended too quick. Could have done with another season to flesh out Neelix being gone and going into the Beta Quadrant as a milestone out of the Delta Quadrant. hell they traveled 40k lightyears over the time, they could have gone to Alastria (the planet Ensign Kim visited in the first season from the spacial trajector matrix thing). Discovery - Season 1 copyright aside, was good, season 2 seemed complex for the sake of being complicated. I am watching all of this on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Honestly can't wait to get out of my sky contract and drop the TV licence.
CHiLL Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 I've started watching Peaky Blinders and most of the way through Season 1 now. So far I'm enjoying it. The accents from Cillian Murphy and Sam Neil are incredible, but some of the others are questionable! I swear some of the brummies sound scouse sometimes!
