Recently Purchased Mortal Combat X on the PC :p

Spent 6 hours that night with the other halfs step dad and the neighbours, projecting on a big screen :)

Haven't completed any games recently, although I'm becoming very adept at Cities Skylines, even installing mods to create traffic flow by controlling the traffic lights themselves! (What am I doing with my time /wrists)

Looking to get Forza Horizon 3 on cross platform though. ( defo not in the pipe lines of taking a power laptop to work and going online *cough* )

Been playing (John Woo's) Stranglehold (shoot 'em up with extra points for "stylish" kills) on PS3. Got to a bit that I just can't get past and thinking of jacking it in, especially after having a go last night after a week or so off and realising that I'd forgotten most of the controls. Tolerable fun up to this stage, but it's not one I'm feeling compelled to complete.

At a similar stage with Lair (fighter/bomber thing but with dragons), which I might give one last try before giving up on. Current level is waaaay too long and no chance of saving until it's completed.

Oh, God... I hate those sorts of levels.

Especially when they have instant-kills or you have to protect a dumb NPC.

Escort missions are the bane of all existence. "Protect %thing%", the mission brief says - then proceeds to practically ignore you with all assets attacking your objective.

They take heavy losses, but still blat your charge.

This is:

1) Escort fleet past 5 outposts you need to take out without losing a single ship plus a couple of mandatory side objectives

2) Protect your heavy bombers for a while

3) Blow up sufficient numbers of enemy ships

4) Take out sufficient enemy tanks

..whilst your comrades fly around doing nowt.

Just found out it's the ante-penultimate chapter, so may give it one more go!

Hey! Listen!

The first part of that (Hey!) is my message notification. :p

Even though I'm just seeing it as text, I can still hear it... :(

I have both my email and SMS notifications set as soundbites from C&C stating "Incoming Transmission"

EVA for SMS,

CABAL for email.

Oh, and the "FFX cut scene where we first see Tidus play Blitzball / Jecht fight music" as the ringtone.

Na, I prefer trucking in single player as ProMods adds so many more roads to get stuck I mean drive down

Bought Mafia 3 but haven't really started it yet. Also bought Project Highrise. Managed to sink 6 hours into it whilst feeling ill this weekend. Just my kind of game. Got up to 47 floors in my first building attempt and had $250k in the bank. Made a bit of a mistake though - didn't leave room for a plaza, so now I can't build any higher.

Bought ClusterTruck

Hilariously zany, much more difficult than it looks, and an amazing OST to boot. It's like if Super Meat Boy, Destruction Derby and Euro Truck Sim had a baby using one of those newfangled three-parent-baby methods.

And for you competitive bunch, there's global (obviously hacked) and friends-only scoreboards!

Highly recommended.

Almost a week of playing civ6 now. Despite my intention to start tomorrow afternoon I thought I'd give it a quick look at the weekend and then it was sunday night.

I'm struggling to win a space/science victory as I keep accidentally winning the cultural one (well twice). The AI really likes to spend a lot of time wiping each other out - even gandhi. With my Catherine game four of them had gone before I had a chance to meet them

Random civ always (well 5 times now) give me the sythians (I don't like them) but when choosing leaders I have won with Peter: faith - deliberate; Catherine: cultural but aiming for science and Gilgamesh (who I thought was made up) cultural but going for science too

Surprisingly bug free - don't think i've had a game work so well from day one in ages.

Porsche Pack #1 (of 3) for Assetto Corsa. They said first time that Porsches have been in a non EA Game in 12 years due to there exclusive licensing, but i'm sure turn 10 managed to get them in Forza 3 or 4 in some cross license deal, maybe that was 12 years ago.
