Garacesh Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Death Road to Canada Save 20% on Death Road to Canada on Steam Hilarious little retro-themed zombie hoard(-ish) game that takes a lot more skill than you'd initially suspect. Supports local co-op too! Definitely a good one for when you've got friends over.
Tesla Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) I went a bit crazy yesterday and preordered Infinite Warefare, along with the Modern Warefare Remaster, and the Season pass for them......... Also : has anyone got/played Gang Beasts? Saw it on go 8bit, looked a good laugh, and its due out on ps4 at some point....out on steam now. Edited November 1, 2016 by Tesla
GuyJD Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Also : has anyone got/played Gang Beasts? Saw it on go 8bit, looked a good laugh, and its due out on ps4 at some point....out on steam now.I have it, it's a great laugh if you can get a few people on a couch playing it, be warned though some of the levels need a pretty beefy GPU to handle everything that is going on on screen.

Haha, that looks fantastic. I try to stay away from local co-op games that have too high a skill ceiling, simply because they just result in one player 'going tryhard' and winning a lot and the others sat there like "Why am I even bothering to play this? It's not fun." Something like Gang Beasts looks to be a lot less technical and a lot more silly than something like, say, Smash Bros. Much more appealing.
LeMarchand Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Had to break my "no more bundles until I've cleared a few games" rule with the CATastrophe Bundle from Bundle Stars. (I did last a few months). Have had my eye on "Beyond Eyes" for a while and "The Purring Quest" looked fun (+ 8 others at the tier I bought). Still, look at all the puddy tats!
localzuk Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Been playing a bit of Transport Fever the last few nights. Darn it's a tough game - you look like you're doing well, so you add another passenger carriage to a train and suddenly the train line no longer makes any profit! Or, you fail to make enough quick enough to complete a product chain making crude oil into oil into plastics into goods delivered to a town, and the crude oil stops producing as there's no demand, and you go bust. OpenTTD this isn't.
sted Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 almost finished world of final fantasy its fun but boy is it easy i think ive only wiped out 4/5 times most of them trying to capture rather than kill things and tbh not paying attention to my hp. Also restarted fire emblem fates im determined i will finish at least 1 of the 3 versions of it lol and so far managing to get a pretty different team together and its less weird playing as a male avatar lol.
LeMarchand Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Just finished "The Unfinished Swan" which was quite sweet but not particularly challenging.
korifugi Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 FINALLY platinumed MotoGP15, for a current total of 70. Fun, but the online split race mode is annoying. (The track is split into 8 sectors - each 'owned' by whoever does it in the quickest time, after a set time the winner is the player that 'owns' the most sections. Easy concept - but with the calibre of online players, it can be really hard to gain even a single section - let alone the most)

Exactly - the "be the top player" or "rank in the top 1% for the month" on some online multiplayer games don't usually go to generalists like me. I like to play a wide range of games and trophies like the ones mentioned usually only go to people who play that game / franchise almost religiously. (not to mention - they're usually only a bronze or 10 pointer, which makes it all worse).
Tesla Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 Got Skyrim:special edition for my b'day, already spammed 6 hours or so into it. Disappointed with the ps4 mods that are on offer, mind. Nothing to make me go out of my way to try them (what with not being able to get trophies etc if u do use them) Just pray to Talos that i don't get any glitches this time round.

If you dont do it pretty much on release day unless you are increadibly good/lucky its unachievable
korifugi Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Just pray to Talos that i don't get any glitches this time round. SAVE before the Ring of Hircine / Pelt thingy quest (so you can get both) Recruit Serana (she's awesome), but DO NOT let her have any 'blood potions' unless you like getting turned into a vampire (with no incubation period) EVERY. FLIPPIN. COMBAT.

FLIPPIN. COMBAT. I've played the game through twice, don't recall a Serana, Ring of Hircine/Pelt isnt ringing any bells and i've never done the vampire thing......... I think that's part of the beauty of Skyrim...and inherently why it can glitch so much, i guess.
korifugi Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 don't recall a Serana, She's part of the Dawnguard DLC - she's a vampire, but without a doubt the best companion you can have. Ring of Hircine/Pelt isnt ringing any bells One of the quests for the daedric artefacts - thing is, the DLC makes one of the 15 items not count for the "15 daedric items trophy", so you have to cheese that quest to get both items. Of course - they could have fixed *snerk* the glitches... maybe.

BKGarry Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I spent yesterday playing "Everybody's gone to the rapture" was a bit slow but in essence a nice game
Tesla Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 I spent yesterday playing "Everybody's gone to the rapture" was a bit slow but in essence a nice game Yeah, i need to give that another visit.... as you said, a bit slow!
Garacesh Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) There is a run option, but it's not a very good one Overall I thought Everybody's gone to the rapture was pretty compelling, but it did suffer greatly from "walking simulator syndrome". Before I played it I figured the focus would be on whatever had destroyed the world but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was about humanity, our relationships and ties to others, and how flawed we can be. Also, the numbers stations annoyed me as they don't actually serve any discernible purpose. The numbers at the end of the game are a simple substitution cipher but the ones heard over radios, from TV's etc, aren't. If it's some kind of easter egg or throwback to something, they're presented in a much more important-feeling way so it felt a bit of a let-down that they didn't amount to anything, and when I did some research after-the-fact, it seems there's a lot of people trying to figure out what they're about but no real progress. Maybe there's been progress since then, I dunno, but it's not like I played it at launch.. Edited November 21, 2016 by Garacesh
JJonas Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Kerbal Space Program its in the Xbox Black Friday sale with 33% off
DeGrimmy Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I pre-ordered Watch Dogs 2 for my PC the other day. I know some people frown upon pre-ordering games, but it was 20% off on Green Man Gaming, and I'm quite looking forward to playing it. I enjoyed Watch Dogs the first, despite its mixed reviews.
Garacesh Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I pre-ordered Watch Dogs 2 for my PC the other day. I know some people frown upon pre-ordering games, but it was 20% off on Green Man Gaming, and I'm quite looking forward to playing it. I enjoyed Watch Dogs the first, despite its mixed reviews. Basically every single review I've seen so far says the game is so much more enjoyable if you play with a non-lethal mindset, and whilst I haven't played WD 1 or 2, I have to agree with it on principle. In Watch_Dogs Aiden Pearce was a brooding, revenge-driven typical antihero so him shooting people in the face made sense, but in Watch_Dogs 2, Dedsec are portrayed as a robin-hood band of kids.. A bunch of tech-savvy teenagers with blue-sky ideas about taking down the corrupt corporations etc. Shooting people in the face doesn't feel right for them.
