Garacesh Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I've done the Digital Devil Saga and Raidou Kuzunoa Vs , but strangely never touched Megaten's biggest franchise. Still need to go back and complete Digital Devil Saga.. Got 'em both on PS2, but just.. I dunno, lost interest I guess.
korifugi Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Still need to go back and complete Digital Devil Saga.. Got 'em both on PS2, but just.. I dunno, lost interest I guess. To be honest - I found them a little grindy in bits, as you either needed to pick the exact right skills / characters for each area or power level. Still - loved the storyline though.
cherd84 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Completed another play through of Deus Ex: Human Revolution before the new one comes out in August. Unlocked the Pacifist and Foxiest of Hounds achievements too
sted Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 completed rise of the tomb raider still stuff to collect and at least 1 dlc mission to do. Got to love some of the achievements one you get for killing an npc with a bottle lol though im not sure how much more gamerscore i can get out of it im at 80 odd percent completion and got 655/1750
DMcGuigan Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Fanks Bruv - will do. To be honest - this is the first Persona game I've played. I've done the Digital Devil Saga and Raidou Kuzunoa Vs , but strangely never touched Megaten's biggest franchise. No spoilers, but become super best friends with Marie. And when it's time to leave, don't. You still got stuff to do. Play many times, become super best friends with aaaaaaaaaaaall the people! That was the last RPG I put any serious time into, you're going to enjoy it. Don't know a single person that's played and hasn't!
sted Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 just finished day of the tentacle and started final fantasy 8 i bough xmas eve lol. i think it actually looks worse than 7
BassTech Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Just bought The Witcher 3 on PS4 for £20 after hearing nothing but good things about it - it seems ok, a little daunting though for a Withcher newbie like me! Going to have a good blast on it later
sted Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 started ocarina of time 3d on my 3ds. slowly playing the zeldas i missed over the years for whatever reason. suspect majora or skyward sword will be next but im hoping for a non motion control skyward sword remake
CHR1S Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Playing Red Dead Redemption again now its BC, im about 95% through 100%ing the first disk and then ill move onto Undead Nightmare. Has aged slightly in 6 years, but its still an amazing game.
sted Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 given in hoping for it to appear on wii u virtual console so bought secret of mana on wii (on wiiu) vc (so now i have 500 pointless points lol). i cant believe i can recall the music for a game i havent played since i got rid of my snes over a decade ago
X-13 Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Ordered No Man's Sky. Gonna be a Space Pirate, just like I've always wanted. 1
sted Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I forgot how much modern jrpgs (and games in general) hand hold you through the start of the game so far I don't think a single mechanic or item has been explained so im having to guess (I suspect it was in the manual on the snes version) not to mention dying takes you back to the last save spot after a you suck and you died message lol
ICTDirect_Dave Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Ordered No Man's Sky. Really struggling over a decision to buy this or not. I was actually a little excited, but the more I read about it the less enthusiastic I get. It seems that NMS will do surface exploration far better than Elite does, but Elite will do the space elements far better than NMS does. Plus I can't find anything that says it'll support my X55 fully for the flight controls. Also, bit of a shame that you can't bump into random other humans out there in the vastness however unlikely it is that you'll be close enough... Gonna be a Space Pirate, just like I've always wanted. I also get the impression that you'd be able to be a better space pirate in Elite than you would in NMS... It does look pretty though.

Also, bit of a shame that you can't bump into random other humans out there in the vastness however unlikely it is that you'll be close enough... apparently 2 people at least have been on the same planet/place at the same time and couldn't see each other Edited August 11, 2016 by sted
ICTDirect_Dave Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 apparently 2 people at least have been on the same planet/place at the same time and couldn't see each other Yeah that's what i was referring to. I'm not sure i'd find the joy of naming species and planets nearly so fulfilling if i didn't get to see other people visiting the same places. Elite has it's flaws, but with the political and economic model they've got the the galaxy, things in space are pretty interesting, if only they could make exploring planets just as much fun.
sonofsanta Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I'll get NMS in a few months in a Steam sale as a chill-out/relaxation game. Half an hour at the end of the night, cruise around in space a bit and find a new planet, that sort of thing. I intend to take years to finish it
Tesla Posted August 11, 2016 Author Posted August 11, 2016 Kinda not been on for a while.... decided to buy a ps2..... So far ive bought Medal Of Honour:Frontline Gran Turismo 3 and 4 FF12 The Getaway Soul Caliber 2 Sega Superstars (thought it was 12 games, relised now its 12 mini-games with eyetoy, which I've also ordered) THE EYETOY WAS 10P! Fifa 09 (friend wanted it) Fifa Street Rayman 3 COD 2: The Big red one 5 x buzz quiz games (and the control pack for it) Bought 2 controllers, one official, and one 3rd party one (3rd party one is OK...surprisingly) All for less than £50 Also, bought Uncharted 4, very good game, though I've been indulging my nostalgic side.
X-13 Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I also get the impression that you'd be able to be a better space pirate in Elite than you would in NMS... It does look pretty though. Probably, but I don't think I have anything that can run it.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Probably, but I don't think I have anything that can run it. That depends, both requirements are pretty low if you're buying for the PC. ED:

CPU Quad-Core CPU (4x2 GHz)

GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or AMD Radeon HD 4870 (DirectX 11 functionality required)

RAM 4 GB

Storage 7 GB

NMS: Windows 7 OS Intel Core i3 Processor 8GB of RAM NVIDIA GTX 480 GPU 10GB available storage space Both pretty low really. Though if you ordered it for PS4 then ignore me
X-13 Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Though if you ordered it for PS4 then ignore me /ignore Been flying around upgrading my ship. Then traded for a new one, with a warp drive and plasma rifles.
LosOjos Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 I'm enjoying NMS. Yeah, it's a lot more simplistic than I'd hoped, but I think that's largely because I came at it comparing it to Elite (like a lot of people) when actually, it's got a lot more in common with Minecraft. I can easily lose hours to it just exploring planets looking for weird creatures and gathering resources to build up my starship, and I appreciate the simplicity when I've had a long day and just want to space out to something. I do hope that they'll keep improving it, and I honestly think that they will. If you played the Minecraft Alpha/Beta builds back when it was browser based (or even the RPi version), you'll know how basic that started out with just a few basic blocks, a couple of mobs and a handful of crafting recipes. I think that's the stage NMS is at now, and I think all the hate Sean Murray is getting is a little harsh. I understand he made some grandiose claims about what you'd be able to do in NMS but I honestly believe it was just his mouth running away with him and his relatively inexperienced team now realising quite how mammoth a task they had ahead of them to deliver. They probably really did want all those features on launch day but also realised if they put it off much longer, they'd lose much of the player base before they even got off the ground. I'm happy to pay my £40 over to support the game in the hope it'll grow in to something amazing but if it doesn't, well i still have a pretty cool game to chill out on. I can live with that.

Yeah, but Minecraft didn't cost full AAA sticker price during alpha. I haven't played the game myself so my input is somewhat limited, but I do admit all the signs I saw pointed to it being more Elite than Minecraft. Not just from fans, but from the marketing material, articles, etc. Yes, the Internet hivemind is going overboard with threats again, as they always do, I'll never defend the people who do that, but it's equally ridiculous that the game has been officially released in this clearly unfinished state. Though, at the end of the day, if you're happy with your purchase, then more power to you. Sod what everyone else things. You enjoy it.
Joanne Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I hadn't heard of it until @X-13 started posting on Twitter. I got it yesterday... £47, but we had £25 on the nectar card. Played 5 mins and I like it so far. Should be able to play more on Friday 😁
