LeMarchand Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Never Alone (a game about Inuit mythology actually written by Inuits, but the game is a bit meh) I was hoping to use that one to initiate Mme LeMarchand into gaming but, despite a glowing recommendation from Bonus Daughter #2, she wasn't tempted because the fox would get killed .
Boredguy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) Grabbed Astroneer over the holidays based on some Youtubers gameplay footage. Quite ejoying it even though I broke my own 'don't buy pre-release / early access games'. Watched a Twitch Stream of Astroneer on release day and it did look a lot of fun even with the expected glitches. Might be tempted to get it at some point. korifugi Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Made Lvl30 (max) on Darksiders 2 last night - thought "I'll just do the first 25 floors of the Crucible in one go to unlock the secret boss". Ended up doing all 100 floors in one go and followed on to the secret boss. Now need to look at the PS3 game shelf for what to do next.
DeGrimmy Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) (28th Nov 2016) My mate and I bought Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition on Friday... ... And we completed it a couple of days ago. It's good fun with some solid mechanics, and really enjoyable turn based combat. It's left a significant void in our gaming repertoire... I've dusted off the old Xbox 360 as I discovered that I could get the latest Madden NFL game on there. The graphics are incredibly potato compared to what my PC can churn out and compared to the Xbox One and PS4 versions, but they didn't port it for PC and I don't have the funds (or justification) to buy a new console just for the one game! Bubbles Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I picked up Batman: Arkham Knight for a fiver on the Steam sale over Christmas and just completed the main story in it. I really enjoy the Batman: Arkham series, I find the stories absorbing and the combat very enjoyable. Looking forward to completing the rest of the side missions. Surprisingly, I had close to no performance issues running Arkham Knight it on PC either, despite my rig not being top end. Think I'll have to play through the series all again.
sted Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 a bit off topic but diddnt seem worth starting a new thread Zelda skyward sword ive noticed id on the wii-u eshop ive heard bad things about the motion controls (i do have a wiimote+ and nunchuck) is it that bad or not? as with ll the botw stuff i fancy playing a zelda and this is one ive never played (tried oot on my 3ds but maybe because its 3ds couldnt get into it and i suspect majoras mask will be the same issue (and everything ive seen says 3ds versions fix soo many issues with both that i dont want to play the vc versions)

The motion controls mostly just got annoying, having to constantly waggle my Wiimote for the sword fights. Not enough to make it unplayable, but they feel shoehorned in for the sake of it, rather than added because they're any good. Still--a middling Zelda game by any other metric is still a great game (says this fanboy)

You've got some work on to complete both of those before March. Although thinking about it if you are just doing story line XIII-2 is quite a short game (in Final Fantasy terms). It has been a while but I remember it taking a few hours after the main story to fully complete all the paradox endings in XIII-2.
