  1. Friend of mine works as service engineer, one of their customers or potential customers is asking weather or not any engineers who are likely to attend have every worked abroad. I'd be a bit reluctant to give this information out now especially under the GDPR, what are anyone's thoughts on this?
  2. Thought as much. If it was me I would just delete both accounts and start again, would export the mailbox pst and import in after the account is working. I'd quite happily do it but just don't have access and it can stay that way for my liking, I'm just stuck trying to help out!
  3. I'm picking up the pieces to an issue where a user account migration has been bodged and in a semi working state. I'm have no access to 365 admin and I am been a middle man and also not done any migrations so all a bit new to me. Currently running a hybrid setup, all users migrated to O365 no issues except this account due to it having been deleted in the past on the on-premise and then re-instated against another user account. Que migration and all hell breaks loose, account ended up staying on premises. Account has been successfully migrated except some issues are haunting us. Can login to the O365 portal and setup mobile phone to get email, Outlook fat client wouldn't work until i used username/email of [email protected] rather than [email protected], it wouldn't auto populate user details like others have so an issue there. Outlook sorted, reshared calendar out and set permissions no issues, us other users can view the calendar in fat Outlook but unable to add to it like we should do, can do on O365 web portal. From what I can work out account has been created to match the AD account in O365 and the pair are not linked as such if that sounds right. I've found this article about SMTP matching, not sure if this or even this proxyAddress article is something we should be looking at. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. If you have a local radio type shop should be able to pick some up from there, I have something similar on a radio setup here.
  5. What account are you trying to join the computer to the domain with?
  6. 2 accounts, normal user for day to day work, admin account for other, any services each have own account. Always work to the least permission principle, might be a pain at first but a good habit to get into.
  7. RedStore is one I've seen used before. I'm also on the look out for an online option to backup 2TB of data, currently on my PC and a NAS but wanting something offsite. No servers just pure data to be sync'd up.
  8. How many SSID's are you looking to push out as Ubiquiti only supports 4 I believe.
  9. What about making them thin clients and connecting back into a remote desktop portal if you have one?
  10. Not sure what else to recommend other than finding some diagnostics and running them.
  11. How old is the hardware the server is on? Do you have good backups? Might be time to look to get an additional host or juggle servers around and move the more important ones to the other host if you have one so there isn't too much downtime. When its total lights out can you not even connect to the servers from another PC? Have you ran any diagnostics I know Dell have some, I'd be looking at HDD and memory to start with.
  12. Could you access the server from a remote PC or was it total lights out?
  13. How long is your USB cable in question? It could be your USB cable is too long and its struggling to get the data from A to B due to the length, think 5m is max total unless using some form of powered adaptor between.
  14. Sounds like a few schools I visit, more and more are been migrated to curriculum/one network now. Many schools will only pay the bear minimum and if it works for them then why do they need all these fancy updates and permissions!!
  15. Done many new builds and lots of things have been covered, can never have too many network or power points. One thing to consider is do you have anywhere to locate MFD's if you have them, rather than printers in room, is there space in corridors or alcoves for them to be located without causing any issues with foot fall and also to help reduce printers having MFD's located one on each floor or one at each end will save money. I would be looking to do away with keyed locks on door and have some form of access control, cheaper in long run with no keys, can control who gets what, auto unlock, audit who has gone in where. Enough space in a server room for expansion, no air con units right on top of cabinets, ducting in to enable external suppliers to bring their feeds in.
  16. pfSense without a doubt.
  17. Cracking little player this, be good to see a return.
  18. A sharp will do all of that except the A6 fold, will only do Z fold I think. Not aware of any machine that can fold like that.
  19. Cost is worked out on number of devices and users. Will often work out better getting it in with your copiers then they payment can be spread if leasing.
  20. As far as I am aware there is no way to disable this, what you should do is educate your users about using the priority button just below the stop/delete jobs, this will enable them to do what they want and then carry on where the last job was. It will finish the the few pages or booklet its on and then do the job you have just processed.
  21. Might be a good time to teach/remind staff how to recall a message if using Exchange and this happens within your organisation.
  22. I would be looking at more well known solution that is know to work with other machines then no massive changes in the future.
  23. I've had an issue today where the account used for scanning had to be granted send on behalf rights for it to work. Tested by scanning to my gmail ok so knew that worked but internally it wasn't due to this.
  24. The Sharp kit will work providing that guide is followed and the machine has had the firmware updated depending on its model as some of the older kit didn't support till this is upgraded.
  25. This might be of interest to you. Scan to Office 365.pdf
