You brave soul! James permanently stays on the Normandy as soon as I have someone else to take his place...

"In the world of" type things are all I want for Mass Effect, I wouldn't want them to regurgitate the same story when the universe is so rich. I'd also love more ME games like Andromeda - In universe but not following the same story (although ME: Andromeda itself was a bit of a mixed bag, the gameplay was great).

Mass Effect is one of my favourite series of games, I've been playing through the Legendary Edition myself. I blitzed through Mass Effect 1 and 2 but I'm taking my time with Mass Effect 3 for some reason! I'm playing as a female Engineer this time around - It's completely different to what I'd normally pick (Vanguard or another class with Biotics) but the tech combos in ME3 make it all worth it. I also started again from ME1 to try an Adept class character.
  4. Oh, my poor wallet...
  5. The RAM that was slightly reduced sold out when I checked in the evening yesterday, and the last option on my wishlist (which happened to be the most expensive option) only had two sets left in stock! I felt I needed to get in quick, so unfortunately no savings for me
  6. I'm just waiting to see if any of the RAM sets I've added to my wishlist get discounted at any point - One set, not on sale, has already reduced by 6% today!
  7. The Razer Blade 15 (2020) is down to £799.99 - It's a fairly great deal if you're in the market for a gaming capable laptop. Only small con is the small SSD capacity. There are plenty of other laptops on offer too.

This is my friend group too, but with Apex Legends. I fell out of it ages ago, and yet I still have to listen to them playing it on Discord... I've managed to pull one of them away from Apex with co-op SnowRunner, somehow!

I've been reading into the information that 343 Industries have released alongside the trailer for Halo Infinite - It sounds like they will be doing a similar thing to what they did with the Master Chief Collection, with several testing flights that are sent out to "Halo Insiders". I imagine the release date will depend on what is flagged from that. I've played a Lake playtest, it's a really nice and relaxing game! Forza Horizon 5's graphics look mind-blowing, I can't wait for my PC to explode playing that... I'm very much looking forward to The Outer Worlds 2, I'm glad it's getting a sequel. The game they ended on, Redfall, looks intriguing too!

Did anyone catch any of the E3 showcases over the weekend? There were quite a few big announcements in the Xbox/Bethesda presentation yesterday!
  11. Great, thanks. Unfortunately I'm running into this separate issue with Meraki where, once I activate the Education Configuration in the Settings Profile, Meraki fails to sync the profile changes to the test iPad. I'm trying to get that sorted out with Meraki support at the moment. That's a scuppering detail... Thanks for highlighting this. I'll go back to the school with this info.
  12. Ah yes - I forgot that important detail. 1) I've set the limit for Shared iPad for 5 users per iPad, although realistically, it will be 2 students - One from each class in the year group. 2) They're 64GB iPad Minis (5th generation).
  13. Hi all, I'm currently trying to grapple with getting a deployment of 60 iPads for our primary school to work the way we want it. The school would like them set up so that Year 1 and 2 students can pick up an iPad, find their name under their class on the iPad lock screen, tap it and type in a 4 digit passcode to open their session. However, I'm struggling with this - Shared iPad shows up to a certain number of users on the home screen, but the students have to log in with their Apple ID and password in order for their names to then appear. In other words, it's not pre-populated with the classes and students, and the school don't want to make things complicated for the students by giving them Apple IDs and passwords for first time sign-in. To give you the rundown of what we've done so far: - iPads all listed in ASM - Accounts for all students created in ASM and assigned to their respective classes - DEP and VPP sorted between ASM and Meraki - Test iPad currently assigned to Meraki MDM with Shared iPad switched on. - Settings profile created for iPads to restrict functionality, and set up to automatically deploy to any iOS device assigned to Meraki In Meraki, there is an "Education Configuration" option for the settings profile to configure Apple Classroom, which can pull users and groups from ASM and (I hope) do what the school are asking for - However, I'm having issues with this added to the settings profile and I keep getting an error message when I try to push the profile to the iPad, so I haven't been able to test this properly. Regardless of this particular issue (a support ticket has been sent to Meraki), is this what I'm looking for? Has anyone else managed their iPad deployment through ASM and Meraki for their school? How did you do it? Thanks in advance!
  14. Sorry to necro this thread, but our PCs have recently been forcefully upgraded to 1909 and whilst pretty much everything still works, we're having this issue as well. Did you manage to find or work out a fix for this please?
  15. Pro Tools would be my pick for the studio, although it's designed for recorded audio more than sampled instruments. I'm also only speaking from personal experience, so I don't know what licensing is like for education. If you're only installing it on the studio PC, then in my opinion, Pro Tools is the best out there.
  16. On our Music PCs, we have Mixcraft. I've not extensively used it, but our (also very Mac / Logic Pro minded) head of Music seemed to be okay with it.
  17. Our Head of IT just asked if CodinGame is safe for students to log into with their school accounts. The privacy policy (https://www.codingame.com/legal/privacy-policy) suggests they're based in France, but they also say that they collect data from contacts and the data collected may be stored on servers outside of the EEA. My network manager and I were unsure about it, so I wondered if anyone uses it in their school, or if anyone has any thoughts about the privacy policy? Thanks in advance!
  18. I actually tried a couple of the Numskull machines at EGX this year. The little joystick seemed to me to be quite flimsy, and I doubt it could sustain a lot of abuse. Plus, it was tough to control! They looked great though.
  19. Thanks both for your replies! I should mention that every other package in our deployment list deploys successfully, it's just the CS5 package. I've edited my original post.
  20. Hi all, Since upgrading to Windows 10, we've used PDQ Deploy to push out all of our applications and it's been working well. We're finally getting around to upgrading the laptops we have around school, and we've noticed that our Adobe CS5 suite package keeps failing to deploy. The status in PDQ Deploy says "Failed to copy file to target. The system cannot find the path specified". This has not happened on any of the desktop PCs we've deployed to, we've tested deploying to a desktop PC since the laptops have been failing and the desktops successfully deploy. I've been having to manually copy the files and then run the installer locally. I should mention that everything else deploys successfully to the laptops, it's just the CS5 package! The CS5 suite is set up to include the entire directory in the copy to the PC. We're at a bit of a loss here and we can't figure out why it works to the desktop PCs, but not to the laptops. Has anyone had anything similar? Does anyone have any ideas? Let me know if I can provide more info. Thanks in advance!
  21. Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes, then. I've used RiftCat in the past to connect to my PC, but I couldn't get the resolution and sharpness quite right. Did you try any of those 3rd party things before and if so, how does it compare?
  22. I've just ordered a USB C to USB 3.0 cable to try this with my Quest, hopefully it'll arrive later today and I'll get a chance to try it out. I'll share my thoughts when I've given it a go.
  23. I know this isn't an exciting and not at all techy thing, but there are Levi, Wrangler, G-STAR "and more!" jeans on sale. Levi 501 Original Fit jeans for £35, which is cheaper than Costco. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/browse/ref=gbps_tit_m-7_7457_af737fe1?node=16826182031&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_p=1b1dbd3e-c23f-4d6a-a777-4c9b4ace7457&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-7&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=10157705031&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=SGHB6H5PR6BC24TKGMED
  24. Thanks for the recommendations, I've already seen/tried a few of those but after splashing out on the headset, I'm a little short of money right now! Yeah, I managed to get RiftCat working with it, which was pretty good (although paid). Whilst I haven't tried any true VR titles on it yet, I did try a bit of Elite: Dangerous. It was great and incredibly immersive, but it still suffers with UI readability issues much like the old DK2 and Vive did when I tried those. I don't think it was quite as bad, but I think I need to do some testing and playing around to see if I can maximise the image quality. RiftCat are still developing proper functionality for the Quest on PC, so we'll see what happens.
