Or for anyone without Veeam, Windows Backup also rocks when used on host with VM's. I have migrated a good few servers using this.

I have just taken over a small primary school and they have this error on the remote server. FMS is fine on all standard clients. I know it's a long time ago but did you fix this issue, and do you remember how. Cheers

Turned out a lot easier than I was expecting, considering our DNS etc is all controlled by our LA, so had to request some changes with them before I could continue.

I thought I would try doing a G Suite data export (right side of G Suite admin page). When the data export page opens there is nothing to click to run the export, I just get a couple of boxes with the following Can someone just check and see if they get an option to actually run the export Cheers

This is not working for me either. No matter what option I choose when creating the email, the email I receive at my teats account only gives me the option to login using a google account, it never sends me the sms txt or even offers me that option, even if it was selected as the option when creating the email.

Server 2016 is a nighmare for updates. I would not start worrying for a good few hours, yes it takes that bloody long

All my primary schools are using G suite without Chromebooks. Not really sure if we are missing much (apart Play Store) as everything works so well from Windows.

On a much small scales but I look after a federation of primary schools and they all share G Suite docs, calendar, etc. Originally they were all separate G Suite domains but I moved them all in to one system, making them all sub domains. The teachers all share docs across the federation and it all seems to be working fine for them.

I think they are bringing out more granular permissions. For us we redesigned our entire folder structure, so where we had something like Staff Drive > Reports, in Team Drives this was now a top level Reports drive.

Done this at multiple primary schools without issues. Always a few that don't like the change but see the light after a few weeks.

install Google backup and sync, imidiatly disable the sync section, then point the backup bit at your staff drive folder. Then when its uploaded to G Suite you can drag n drop the staff drive to a Team Drive :0)

We use spanning backup but will be taking a look at cubebackup. Spanning backup backs up all emails, docs, team drives, calendars, sites to another cloud based host, it is a full feature reliable backup system, you can even export a google doc as a word doc if needed, but it is not cheap. Cubebackup is more of a manual backup, you can backup to onsite system or cloud and is very cheap

At all my schools I setup both G Suite & Office 365, I then let some key staff use both. So far 100% have requested G Suite but these are all primary schools. Most of the schools I know that are using Office 365 were never given an option by the LA

I moved all my primary schools over to G Suite between 1 and 5 years ago. I started with a folder with photos & videos, just something to get them used to it, but eventually moved everything from the file server except the pupils folders over to Team Drives. We took the opportunity to create a few extra Team Drives out of the one big Staff drive. File Stream was a god send

Does not need to be cheap or free but I don't want to get pre built setup, when I am sure it must be possible to build this myself. I have two end goals. 1. I would like to be able to power a fridge for a short while in the event of a zombie apocalypse :0). I would like the option to be able to power either a 240v fridge or a 12v camping fridge. 2. To see if I can and to learn how it would be done.

I have a few old Dell UPS and wondered if it would be possible to charge them using a Solar Panel. Could I get a Solar panel, a good 12v to 240v inverter and then plug that in the AC input on the APC?
