Hello All, I have managed a few domain/networks but never installed one from scratch. I am now going through the motions of doing so and would like some ideas I am doing this in a test environment which is entirely independent of my working domain/network. I have: Installed Win Server 2012R2 on some hardware. Installed AD DS. Installed DNS. Installed DHCP. What would be my next logical steps? Create some user groups, users and group policies? Where do I start regarding image creation? SCCM? Anythings I may have missed? Any help and pointers will be appreciated Many thanks, TomHD

If you are after wow get the large format touch screens to replace IWB/PJ setups you have. Not only are they much better technology, they look great too. I struggle to see how!? Ignoring initial outlay, are they any pros to IWB/PJ setups vs large format touch screens?

iBoardTouch EL 65+ they are a UK manufacturer with UK support. I have installed 5 of these over the last week and they are brilliant. Not too pricey, just under 2k for base model. I disagree about having smart notebook and buying into smart hardware. Any dev worth their salt will be building compatibility into their competing software. The software from iBoard can handle smart notebook files, and others too, all day long and it appears much better than smart notebook overall.

RH Logic 400 all day long! I injured myself whilst at uni some years ago and I was spending long days writing my dissertation in a cheap office chair! It wasn't till I invested in a decent chair that I started to get better! In future I would never skimp on a chair if you are to be sat in it for any length of time on the day to day. IMO Any decent chair is going to cost £800+ secondhand bargains can be had on eBay, these usually come from business closures.

Hello All, I am wanting to configure a guest WiFi network so that when visitors come in they can easily connect to the Internet without seeing any of our internal network. I figure this is going to involve VLANS to segregate traffic, this is not something I have ever done so treat me as a lay man So far I have created a guest network with open security, enabled the guest portal with no authentication. I can see it being broadcast and I can connect with the landing page appearing. I cannot navigate any links as we use a proxy and this is not set in any way. I will need some idea as to how I can work with this so that guests do not need to enter the proxy settings on their device. When connected to the guest network I cannot see any of our internal hardware via the Network in My Computer... Does this mean I won't have to do anymore to ensure that our internal network is not visible to guests? Many thanks in advance and should any more info help please let me know TomHD

I'll ask the Business Manager Regarding 24/7 use... Schools are only open from ~8:30 - ~18:00 so how a manufacturer could argue that is not clear!?

IBT EL 65+ interactive TV can be had for around £1800 very good piece of kit and there software is great too. British company with British support [emoji317]

Along with the usual Google = Internet etc some teachers here call there PCs "hard drives"... How are they still employed!?

That's a shame as that sort of control is so handy for remote working If the machine powers off or sleeps the deployment will time out, I'm not sure if it auto retries or if you have to initiate the retry yourself! Anyone know?

If you have deployed the update it should happen the next time the machine is turned on. Can you not WOL those machines that have been turned off?

Not really just that it won't redeploy without some intervention from yourself. The actual redeployment is a few clicks once you know what you're doing @bobsmith says about the ID and SOLUS forgetting the machine sounds right

I had problems with the agent not auto deploying after reimaging some machines. Something to look out for after the installation. And as others mention, the UI isn't great till you've been sat with it for some time. Time doesn't make the UI any better just you get better at understanding it [emoji57]
