I have cycled the entirety of Holland over several holidays and can say the rest of the world should take note! So safe, no one wears a helmet! It changes the attitude of motor vehicle drivers as they are all cyclists too! You see very little obesity and not many mobility scooters as the infrastructure promotes health.

Hello All, If this isn't the right forum please move I am needing 16 of these and at no cheaper than ~£6.50 each, I figured it would be cost effective to make my own. I can get the single gang mains socket for £1.48 each and the IEC C14 for £0.63 each. I have plenty of IEC C13 cables I can use the cable from. Now my question relates to legal/H&S concerns. Hello All, I have been tasked with decommissioning our old Exchange 2007 server and would like to help to understand exactly what I'm doing. I have run the readiness checks and failed on the Mailbox Role Prerequisites: We have an existing Exchange 2010 running so I'm guessing I need to move the replicas to the 2010 server rather than remove them? As bossman says, as long as you have the correct NIC driver you'll be unfortunate to have a problem. I have a 3rd party build disk I made myself, it has a load of NIC drivers from all the manufacturers and have yet to find a machine I cannot build from it When I say 3rd party I mean non RM hardware.

Yeah, have 100 PCs shutdown at 1800. I won't try that this eve as I've got a different scenario to test, should it not get me any further I'll try tomorrow

Just to confirm, the switches have been reset around 8am each morning and seem to drop out sometime over the evening. I can tell when it falls over as the connection to my work PC disappears from TeamViewer on my PC at home!

Hi All, I am still suffering this problem. I have found all the switches on the network and have ensured that STP/RSTP is enabled on all switches. Do I have any more options for troubleshooting? Would you suggest I do a physical check for a loop? My LM has suggested I call someone in to have an audit of our physical network, anyone have any suggestions? (we are Suffolk based) Thanks, TomHD

Sorry, the core has 2 fibre uplinks to 2 other GS748T in separate buildings. Just had to reset again on the look for loops this afternoon

@sted, yeah plenty of airflow, the room they reside in is air conditioned at 19 degrees @FN-GM, I did wonder if a loop had been made during the half term, we had plenty of contractors in and lots of IT has been moved/fiddled with! I have RSTP enabled on both the switches that are crashing. If it is not enabled on other switches can it still cause this problem? @SHimmer45, No when they have crashed they are unreachable Thanks

Hello All, I'll say it again, hardware is not my strong point! I have been suffering some issues/crashing with a couple of switches since half term. My solution till now has been to reset using the pin button on the front, this solves all issues for an undetermined amount of time! Alas, I'm now thinking the issue is not just a temporary glitch The switches are both Netgear GS748T, not sure of age or how long they have been in action. One is the core with ISP, DC, VM host and edge switches attached (2 over SFP), it also has some clients too. The other is an edge with just clients attached. I have logged into the switches and I have noted that the core switch gets its IP from DHCP and is not statically assigned, whether this is a problem I'm not sure? I noticed that when they have crashed I can remove cables yet the activity lights remain lit and flash showing activity?! What are my options for troubleshooting this? Many Thanks, TomHD

[i had seen the mention of that index error and was aware of the 2012 mode fix ] We have an Open Value Subscription and will heed your warning about the Enterprise version and will install the Standard version of 2014. When you mention clients in regard to Per Core vs Server/CAL, is this the number of clients that will use SIMS/FMS and therefore clients connecting to the db? We have ~40 clients that access SIMS/FMS? What would you suggest? Thanks, TomHD

Hello All, I have been tasked with installing SQL Server 2012 and migrating our SIMS/FMS databases. I have never done this so please bare with me. I am about to install SQL Server 2012 on our SIMS VM. Do I want SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition with SP2? And will I use "Per Core" or "Server/CAL"? I have seen mention of a migration tool, is this a Capita tool or a MS tool? Thanks, TomHD
