We use Sage 200c (education version of sage) for finance (not payroll). Moved over to it this year. Cloud based but requires software installed locally on the machine. It's been okay, can be slow at times and support hasn't been too helpful with setting up SMTP email for gmail - this should be straight forward as we use gmail smtp settings for quite a few things but it just seems a bit off with sage as we get random error message even though test emails go through. Sometimes we're not sure if they have gone or not and suppliers end up getting quite a few emails. They seem to heavily rely on people using Outlook.

I'm not aware of any way of download the csvs. I would contact apple to see if they're able to help. Ask for apple enterprise.

We ask them to change to bold/underline typing when in their extra time. Extra time monitoring is only required during mocks for us. It's used as evidence to prove they require the extra time I believe (SEN related). During the real exams, extra time is just extra time and doesn't require the changing of font.

The issue with writing extra time on the paper is when a student goes back to update a previous question.They could write it again for the bit they're changing but can look a bit out of place if it's in the middle of a paragraph. The bold option for us would be good but we find the font resets back to normal when you print (this might have been fixed in the newer version).

Been playing Rocket League for a while. Recently got a switch and trying to get into Competitive Smash bros Ultimate. Hard to get into it when the Online system is peer-to-peer with no dedicated servers. Makes some matches very laggy. There is no set rules for competitive.

Old thread but came top of a google search. Anyone know if The Sims Teacher app is available on chrome devices? Can't seem to find it but would have thought by now it would be available.

We're still having issues with sending documents to a printer with bold text but it comes out as normal text. Is it anything to do with the config profile that changes certain things when sent to printer? Once it is sent to a printer, the text is converted to normal text and loses it's bold.

We use a GPO logoff script that robocopys anything *.examtext to a file server.

One thing that caught me out was that the majority of apps don't actually support shared mode properly. By this I mean an app doesn't automatically save the app data to the students iCloud account unless you install it a specific way. This means if a students goes to use a different iPad, their work doesn't follow them. The only apps that I have found that support shared mode are Explain Everything and Book Creator. We're just deploying the apps we need with a specific layout. We're not using the hide function so can't really help but our students are using the shared iPads from age 3 to 11. The younger years get help from teachers but it seems Year 1's are capable of logging in to their accounts fine after they've done it a few times.

We found people that would replace the leaver would get a bit overwhelmed by all the files they have inherited and 90% are probably irrelevant. So we had a Staff Archive google account that we would transfer files to when someone left. We now use Team Drives and tell people that everything department related needs to go into a Team Drive area.

Kahoot is another really good one. Great for a bit of fun.

We moved away from reflector a few years ago and went with airserver. Works great.

We have salamander that creates users automatically when they're added to SIMS. It requires a staff code and a start date. Salamander will drop the user into a New Users OU. We then have a daily script that is ran to detect any new accounts in the OU which emails HR the details and asks for more information. They reply to this email which creates a helpdesk ticket. A bit backwards as it should be HR emailing us first. It's been working quite well. We have HR fill out a standard email form for leavers to let us know their leave date etc.

I thought another ad or pop-up was running in the background when the music started. That music choice was soooooo bad.

There is an Edu version on the VPP store that is paid for. I guess this is to get by the In-App purchase that the original one offers. Yep, our last quote for jamf cloud and around 1200 ipads was £5.80 per license.

We have a few minibuses that pick up and drop off from the park and ride areas on the outskirts of the city.

Only any use for leisure activity's. Doesn't provide any benefit for commuters.

Been getting the train for 6 years and it was bad to start off with and it's only got worse. The station I get on at is just a platform and doesn't have anywhere to buy tickets. We have to buy tickets from someone who walks through the train but 99% of the time they can't get through the train because it's too busy. People have to stand in the aisle. Every year they promise a better service from the extra fees but it just gets worse. Our train is getting more and more packed. If a train is cancelled, it means there are twice as many people on the next train which means a load of people can't even get on. I get a monthly ticket which I have to purchase at the station I'm heading towards. I'm forced to buy a return ticket to get through the barriers and then ask for a refund on that ticket once I've purchased my monthly ticket. They want to move everyone onto smart cards but their system isn't capable of allowing the 10% travel to work discount my work offers on the smart cards. My November monthly ticket has put in 7 delay repays. I've earnt back about £30 this month from delay repays (ticket costs £122). I still think getting the train is better than driving into the City though due to traffic and huge parking charges.

Resurrecting thread! I guess the answer is no and probably illegal but are you allow to download and store programs from BBC iPlayer? Got a DT teacher wanting to save a show about materials. The 30 day download limit will run out soon so was wondering if she is able to download it to store. Doesn't seem to be a dvd of it so there isn't really any other choice.

Anyone using Reading Cloud? Apparently the next generation library software by IMLS/Capita. Wondering if it's better than the current IMLS setup.
