We have an automated email that sends an email once a day for 20 days to tell them their password will expire. We even have a web link on their iPad where they can change it on their iPad. We still get quit a few students come in saying their wifi isn't working and find out they've just ignore the emails! For the automated email we use a powershell script. For changing ad passwords on the iPad we use Passcore.

It seems to work in other browsers other than chrome. Possible chrome issue?

Yep, some of the security features should really be in the free version. Looks like they've done this to force people into paying for it.

You can do it from the admin console: Apps > G Suite > Gmail > Default Routing > Add Setting > Enter email address of leaver > Change Envelope Recipient > (Optional) Preprend Custom Subject (we use this to let the new user know it came in via the leavers email address) > Perform on non-recognized address > Save.

I'm seeing the same. Is there a way to check if a video is flagged as inappropriate and should be restricted?

Do you allow staff to approve videos? If you do, it might be worth checking the Classroom Teacher group to see if that pupil account is on there or even on the pending list. Also, check content and permissions settings in the Google Admin console under the youtube app. See if the restrictions are applied to the correct OUs.

This is something I looked into but unfortunately, it's all flash based.

I know this thread is quite old but I've just been handed about 7 cds with this software on. I can't find a way of silently installing it. I don't want to go round every machine to install it manually. The network share version still seems to require a manual install. Any ideas? I also like how it asks for a teacher password to go to the teacher area. The password is found on the same screen by clicking "Getting Started".

This is possible but we have a lot of word processing students so would require some time to update the software when a new version is released. Running from a shared network area makes it a lot quicker. I do have the software installed on a Pen Drive to use locally as a backup and that has worked in the past. Most of the time the software works fine. It's the odd occasion it freezes and going into a not responding state.

I was about to write something similar but not in this much detail. We're using this for quite a lot of word processing students and it works well most of the time but do find it crashes randomly. We make sure all our laptops are plugged in over Ethernet so I don't think the connection is always the reason. Is it possible to enable some sort of logging so we can help figure these issues out?

We had a small data breach (not IT related I'll add!) so we can win most arguments when it comes to security and locking things down. Luckily, all our teaching staff have 1:1 iPads so we can use the Google Authenticator app as 2 factor. Requires a phone number to setup initially but after that they can use the authenticator app. We're even thinking about doing students now as they have 1:1 iPads also. Not sure if this'll work though.

All our governors have a school email address with 2 Factor authentication setup (as well as all our staff).

This might be something. We have a lot of peri music teachers that come in to teach students specific instruments. All these peri music teachers have to have a school email address to be able to email their students. This way we can monitor/audit it. A few of the peris are annoyed that we do this and say other schools don't do it but I think it's something that is needed to be done so we have a trail of communication.

I think our MLS portal has been moved to their new system. Does anyone know how to access management in the new system? Can't see a link to it.
