Have you checked that the iPad is in a prestage enrolment? If you go to All Settings > Device Enrolment Program > Click your DEP Instance > Click Devices at the top > Search the serial number of the device. It will say which pre-stage enrolment it is in if any. If it isn't in one, go to Mobile Devices > Prestage enrolments > Select the prestage enrolment you want it in and add.

We have our SIMS hosted by scomis. We had issues at first with SIMS teacher app but now it's very rare for it to be offline. If it is, we just contact scomis and they restart the teacher app service.

There seems to be a few ways to disable action centre/notifications area. I'm wondering if its possible to just disable the Toast Notifications using Group Policy.

We've recently had Earnie installed. Had lots of issues to begin with but it seems better now. Our users got prompted to install extra components when they opened Earnie which we had to provide admin credentials for. Didn't have an issue with it not being digitally signed unless our machines are already setup to not worry about digitally signed msi's. Are you on the latest version of Earnie? Might be worth giving Earnie a call to see what they say.

I had a similar issue. I imaged about 20 laptops all with the same image. It seemed about half of them wouldn't let users open the start menu where the half it was fine. I spent a few days trying to figure out what it might have been. Tried removing GPO's one at a time, changing registry and any other ideas I found on Google. I never found out why this happened but I re-imaged them all with MDT in the same way you are (my install.wim has had most of the built in window apps removed). I'm also using a new command to set a specific Start Menu and Task Bar: PowerShell.exe -Command Import-StartLayout -LayoutPath \\Network\Path\to\StartLayout.xml -MountPath c:\ The startlayout.xml: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W0pLGecpAOx1_BzXavCwPEL__FYvUlYM/view?usp=sharing After imaging all the laptops again with this it seems to be working. Another odd thing I found is I used the same imaging task sequence for Dell Computers and the HP Laptops. The HP laptops are the only machines that had the start menu issue. I'm wondering if it has something to do with windows app being removed from the wim file. Have you done this?

We've been using it for a couple of years. It's a very basic word processing piece of software which is updated frequently by the developer. The software can be setup to run in full screen mode and have it so the software can't be closed without a password. This means students can't do anything on the machine until the software is closed. It also has an auto save feature.

This is something we require also. It's not a major thing as we currently ask our SEN students to change their font to bold when they go into extra time. We do this as our SENCO requested it. I think she uses it to provide evidence of some sort.

We asked MLS how staff are deleted as students are deleted based on their leave information in SIMS. MLS have said Staff are not deleted and this is a manual process the librarians have to do. Can anyone confirm this? Seems a bit odd.

Do you know when this new tool will be ready?

I don't know for certain but I would guess all data as the reports are ran every time the MLS job is ran. Greed might have some more information but not sure how to tag them?

The thing I dislike about google exams is that it forces you to know about configuring chrome devices. We're a google school but don't use any chrome devices, just iPads.

This is something I came across recently too. One thing I don't I understand is why the MLS job runs 4/5 reports that takes a shed load of pointless data. The reports take all this information. It doesn't need it and it doesn't need to be uploaded but seems a bit much. Another thing we're looking into with GDPR is data sent to other company. We looked at the reports Group Call Xporter runs for MLS and there are quite a few. Quick question about the backup path. Do we have to manually add the version number to the backup path in the config file? I can see a folder is automatically created that goes by the version name but files are not being saved in this folder. They are still be saved directly into the folder path which is in the config profile: C:\ProgramData\ExamWritePad

I've just done more testing and it seems 1 is stopping the autosave feature from working. As soon as I turn the value to 0 and manually save, the autosave feature starts working again. Are you able to replicate this? Might be a combination of things in my config that I can provide if needed.
