I know it falls in the Easter break... but for those of use that are in, do you have any plans? I've kept a broken keyboard (looks fine) to grow cress in lined up for our premises team's office... and if I can be bothered I'll dig out a broken mouse and put it in jelly!

I think I'll drop the sizing slightly as for what it will used for the above measurements are a bit overkill. It only really comes out for functions in the Atrium (Theatre + Sports hall have fixed, motorised screens) I don't think we'll be able to justify the price tag that the fast-fold screens come in at. ~£600 for fast-fold, ~£50 for tripod based (reasonable reviews from the tripod one too). Tripod one is ever so slightly smaller. Aside from explaining that the fast-fold will be sturdier and more durable than the tripod, I can't think of anything else to put forward to my line manager/bursar - any thoughts

Hi all, After battling our screen dating from the Romans and only just winning, I've decided that we are going to replace it. Does anyone have any recommendations over reasonably large screens? It's not just the brakes themselves... My old Morris tyres were amazingly narrow! You can do an upgrade to disk brakes but with only a small amount of rubber on the road it doesn't make a huge amount of difference!

Will look in to this - it's in an OU with several other machines. Have tried several different accounts including local and still brings up the same issue. Other PCs are in use so have to wait!

Hi all, We've got one PC here that has an odd problem! If you insert a DVD into the drive, it appears in explorer as "DVD-ROM" but doesn't list any more information about the disk (size/disc name etc). If you try to open the disc it says the drive is empty please insert a disc... I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, still the same issue. I then tried a USB DVD drive and it has exactly the same symptoms. I know this drive works fine as I tested it on my PC in the office with no issues. Strange thing is if I go into VLC and open disc from here, it is able to play the DVD... Any ideas? Kind regards, J

I didn't elaborate in my previous post but we've had a couple of issues with Veeam - however their support was excellent and helped resolve the issues speedily!

Not a huge fan of wheeler dealers - stopped watching after they did the Morris Traveller. When I was working as a TA I used to muck about in a garage dealing solely with Morris Minors and know just how much more the cost is to repair / do one up to that standard.

Minecraft & currently playing through the new Borderlands. I don't play nearly as much as I used to - TF2 used to take up an amazing amount of my time, however that didn't compare to how much time I must have spent playing Ragnarok Online!

That everything that you don't need any documentation for there is ample, for stuff that you do need documentation for there isn't any!

Open an ISA! You can put a good whack in them now, and it also deters you from taking any money out (usually you'd have to close the account / lose whatever interest you have on it) - When I was saving I opened a Save to buy ISA with Nationwide Are you still living at home? If you are - work out roughly what you'd have as outgoings in a month when you move out and try and save that - Decent savings amount + you "won't have that money" when you move out anyway. You may want to save a bit for other costs i.e. decorating\running electrics - I can do a rough breakdown of what it cost us to decorate if you want, feel free to pm me rather than me waffle here!

Hi All, Our certs expire next month - we have both a UCC for our Exchange and also a wildcard for a couple of servers - I've followed the guide to create the CSR for Exchange, but I'm unsure of how to create the wildcard one! Would anyone be able to explain it for me? Kind regards, J
