Next week or so I will have to use the elliptical trainer... might have broken one of my toes playing on a "hoverboard". Bit miffed as I had almost hit 2.5km in constant jogging with no need for walking!

Finished one of the Zombicide tutorials, loved it! Anyone around Surrey fancy some board games?

Going back to the possibility of having a PT for a couple of sessions to create a routine and such, I guess they'd be able to show me what weight exercises are good, and how to do them properly? Think that would give me a little more confidence!
-
Can you select all, right click and print?
-
But the free weight section is scary!

In regards to the gym, do you lot think PT's are worth it? Toying with the idea of getting one (probably a joint session with my brother) to set up a routine for us. Our aims are similar - both want to get fitter for mountain walking (improved duration up steep inclines, plus recovery when resting!). I also want to be able to run a 5km without stopping, and ideally enter in to a park run or even better a charity run. Weight loss is being monitored, but is an added bonus rather than a focus. Is there anything you'd change to my current routine, which is (3x a week): Small amount of light stretching 1km on rowing machine 5km on treadmill (currently cross of running at 10km, walking at 6.5km) 5 sets of 15 reps on several weight machines (weights are whatever I start to struggle with for the last 2 reps) 10km on static bike Also do between 1 - 1.5km swimming once a week. Combining this with healthier eating lunch is alternating between salad and soup, and 2 bits of fruit, and improved portion control in the evenings for dinner! Any tips on improving the routine or just in general would be much appreciated. J

I'll be trying this, going to start this evening!

We had an average frost...
-
Site team brought me up my own oil radiator! Wish they'd have plugged it in as well!
-
Sorted! Had the create registry as update, needed as either create or replace!

We just have snow that didn't bother to freeze on the way down

It's chilly today - as much as I don't mind the cold, it's becoming really annoying that my left hand is warmer than my right hand!

Hi All, Trying to completely lock down spelling / grammar checks in Word for our exams accounts. Followed the guide here on Edugeek (Disable spell and grammar check for Office 2010 - Blogs - EduGeek.net) and another (ChronicBit - An Engineers blog: Disabling Proofing Tools and related options Word 2010 for an Exam) All seems to have worked a charm, aside from I'm still getting squiggles under spelling mistakes! If you right click on them it doesn't offer any suggestions, but it would still draw attention to the fact that there is a spelling error... Edit: Apparently it still gives suggestions... it just didn't suggest anything for iterations of asdasdasd asdsdasddasdasda etc! Anything I may have missed? J

Hoping tickets are still available on payday...

Is what I'm going to suggest for a start, just trying to not sound sarcastic/talking down to them by suggesting they up the brightness of the image..!
-
It is hugely subjective and as been stated a minefield. If their classroom or workroom is dark the print would then appear darking in there, whereas in a well lit environment / bright day the print might appear fine...

Hi All, We have some photography students who are using the Sixth Form work room printer (HP Colour laserjet) to print of their work for their books. They're stated that the prints coming out are darker than what is appearing on screen. Aside from turning the screen brightness down, is there anything else I can do to try and sort this out? If it were up to me I'd suggest they send their photos off to be printed via photobox or similar, which is what we had to do when I took photography! Cheers, J

Zombicide (Boardgame) just turned up on my desk! Downside is I won't have time to play it until next week https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/113924/zombicide

As much as I hate my £200 Fiesta (2000 reg) - I have a 10-15mins commute each way to and from work, and another 10min trip to the gym, I feel I can't really justify getting a snazzy car! Especially as my partner and I are saving for a new kitchen... and then a larger house! Dad's retired now so anything apart from welding / major stuff we can do ourselves, and even then I loathe spending much on it! Wish our maisonette had space to store a bike, then I'd cycle to work!

First time hitting 5km yesterday - 38mins which I'm happy with at the mo! I probably fast walked between 1 - 1.5km of it. Next stage is to build up so I can jog for the duration

Managed my first 5K! (Albeit it was on a treadmill) - 38mins

Friends and family for "free" (as have said before, usually get beer / choccies etc) - however if there is any cost involved like they want to purchase and install something then I'll make them pay for that bit themselves! I've moved out now, and my brother used to be a tech (work's in business now, still IT related) usually gets parents issues... Best payment I ever received was after I managed to retrieve a load of files of a dying PC for a colleague from a previous job (when I wasn't in IT!) - They asked what I wanted for doing so, and as it only took 5-10mins of effort, rest was just waiting for files to transfer whilst having a cuppa and a catch up I insisted on nothing. A week later, got £40 theatre vouchers from them in the post!

This. Ever since I moved out with my partner, we don't get biccys / crisps / cake etc! When I was living with my parents Mum used to bake cakes all the time, buy biscuits by the barrel, stock up the fridge so it was bulging. Even when we asked her to slow down with stuff she just couldn't help it!

I'm in the process of trying to give up pepsi etc (apart from if we go out for a meal / I'm driving at the pub) - trying to replace with sparkling water!
