Take a PC that does work and a PC that doesn't work - are they in the same OU with the same GPOs being applied?

Went out intending to complete the 5k park run route at the local park, mostly to a) convince myself I can do it and b) whatever my time to give me a benchmark for progress. Turns out I ran the route slightly wrong, ended up doing 6k instead! 42.16 mins

Have any of you got "fitted" shoes / had your gait / feet analysed and got shoes that way? I currently use £35 specials from sports direct, but contemplating if proper running shoes that are suited to my feed would be better?

If you're confident it would pass an MOT it might be worth spending £40 on it, as it might make it a bit easier to shift (and could probably ask slightly more!)

Went for my first outside session yesterday... Met up with an old friend who is into running already so he was happy to push me more than I probably would have by myself, we went out to the large park where they do our local park run (we didn't run the route though, that's the next step!) I did 4.7KM in 33.something minutes, according to Strava, which I am pleased at! More pleased that I went as I was feeling nervous about going outside "in the public view", and as I left the house the heavens opened! At least the rain cooled me down a bit! Calves are aching today, as are my ankles which I assume is due to running on an uneven / undulating surface as opposed to a treadmill. Current "next step" goals in order: Sign up and complete a park run in the summer hols, be able to hold a steady jog (doesn't matter what speed) for the full 5km, and then drive my time to under 30mins.

Our IT support share (techs only!) is pretty neat! 1 of our 2 large shares are reasonably tidy - all department folders, group perms set so only staff within that department has access (and senior management!) The other one isn't too bad but is a bit more of a free for all. Sorry to hijack a bit - How do you lot deal with cleaning up of old / unused files? There are files that are almost 10 years old kicking around and the last accessed date isn't much more recent... We have set aside 30mins during an INSET day for staff to clean up any files on the 2 shares, but of course you get files / folders that were created by a member of staff who has left, no one remembers who or what it is so doesn't touch it "just in case" etc?

Anyone know the best place to find them? Estate agents only seem to have reasonably pristine properties... My partner and I might be in a position to move in the near future and we'd love a fixer upper - as long as there is nothing structurally wrong with it! Full rewire / pipe work / plastering / full bathroom / kitchen are all fine! Ideally we'd like somewhere that hasn't really been touched for a few decades! Just not sure where to look aside from keeping an eye on auctions!

Bit of a different situation - where we lived previously was right out in the sticks, and after a particularly bad patch of weather quite a few overhead phone cables were damaged, sometimes you couldn't ring out, sometimes you could hear other people on the line. We had a BT engineer our about 2 - 3 times over a period of 6 weeks and still no end in sight. Dad got fed up, managed to get CEO's secretary email address and wrote a very long winded letter explaining the issue, and that during the 40+ years that Dad had worked for BT (and indeed the GPO before it became BT!) that they always strived to provide the best service for the customer, and that he was sad and ashamed that this level or service to a customer was "adequate"... roll on a week later and it got sorted!

We've just created a GPO for the student machines around school which staff are aware of - however we're looking at doing this to staff machines too. The timings of this are being discussed at an upcoming SMT meeting and the decision will come from them on timings.

Email just been sent off to our support! It's the students only behaviour point too!

Starting a routine of running for 25-30mins on "off" days too, literally go straight to gym, hop on treadmill, do what I can in 30 mins and scoot home.

What's the audio quality of the CCAudio like? I'm no audiophile but is it decent?

We've recently done a couple of rooms... Carpet for our bedroom (approx 4.5 x 3.5 meters off the top of my head) is costing us just shy of £550 inc delivery/fitting. As Oaktech has said if you're lucky / not too fussed you can get offcuts, worth checking with the carpet shop as these can change day to day and you might strike it lucky, with some great savings to be had. EDIT: We "splashed out" on a large box of screws too as the boards underneath were squeaking like mad! If you're floor squeaks it's so so worth screwing them down! Just mind out for cables / pipes!!! One room that has 6 LED GU10 downlights in cost us about £60 to do, with Dad showing me how to wire up properly - not sure on pricing for someone to come in and do it. Another point to look out for with downlights is they might not always go where you want them to - joists have a nasty habit of being in the way! Not sure on price of getting someone to come in and do this, so if you can't do it, try to find a mate who can! Skirting board you can do yourself, we brought unfinished pine which wasn't expensive, 1 tube of gripfill (smelly solvent stuff that works, wouldn't recommend the non solvent!), couple of nails and some filler - borrowed a friends chop saw and fitted it myselfwhich wasn't too bad, just made sure I cut slightly too long and then trimmed down a little at a time! If you're taking the old stuff off you'll probably need to make good the bottom of the wall as sometimes it doesn't like to come off nicely! We went a bit overboard with prep for painting, giving 2 base coats of white so we started with a clean white slate, then put 2 top coats of wipeable paint on top. For all decorating I estimate we paid approx £125 (includes filler, sandpaper, paint and 2 roller sleeves as I hate washing these out so just throw them). If you just want plain white / magnolia paint on the walls you could knock £50-60 off that price.

There's a brilliant shop around not too far away from us in Surrey called Margnors - We usually take in one of the screws / bolts we need and they just match it. Pricing is also brilliant, and you can buy in whatever quantity you need! Just 1? Not a problem... Need 1000? Not a problem..!

Hi All, Currently looking around at replacing our current printer fleet as they are all 7+ y/o and a lot of them are starting to have little niggles. We have always had our own printers, all managed in house. What is your lot's setup? We're a ~800 Student Secondary, each classroom currently has at a minimum 1 desktop mono a4 laserjet, some have a4 colour laserjets, some have a3 colour laserjets. All offices pretty much the same. One solution would be to replace on a like for like basis. However I would like to explore the solution of cutting down the number of printers dramatically - we have study areas in all departments that could house MFPs for all teaching rooms, departmental staffrooms and staff offices could also print from these if we had follow me printing. The bursar has said they would push for anything to reduce costs so getting senior management backing to do this shouldn't be too much of an issue. If any of you lot have a managed print solution, are you happy with it? Do you feel it is more cost effective than owning/managing your own fleet? Any recommendations of companies / experiences / opinions would be greatly appreciated! J

Impressive numbers! Highest "legitimate" milage I knew about was my old Vectra at just over 110,000. Highest "un legitimate" milage would be my old '69 Morris Minor - when I had it there was 80,000 on the clock... but who knows how many times it had gone over!

Mum's got herself a new car, and I'm getting a hand me down '06 1.3 Diesel Yaris, 100K on the clock - Parent's have owned it from new and been fully serviced every year. Told my friend who I brought my '00 Fiesta off he has first dibs, but if he doesn't want it back it's going up for £150 if anyone is interested! Driver's door doesn't open from the inside, and it has a bit of a rattle from the N.S.F. but otherwise has been fine!

Did 3 each for the Mrs and me - flipped the first one (which came out okay too!), but as our frying pan has fairly high steep sides, it doesn't lend itself for good flipping! Standard toppings of golden syrup + lemon juice!

Able to get back on the cross trainer after injuring my toe 2 Sunday's back. Only just starting to be able to walk normally on my right foot again this week, will give it a clear week after having no issues walking until I get back on the treadmill properly. Never thought I'd say this but actually feeling miffed about not being able to do sporty stuff!
