    Is anyone else annoyed about iPad 2 not supporting AirDrop? To me its Apple trying to make some revenue, it would have been brilliant for students to send work to the teachers iPad! Rather than trying to email it or send via the wireless.

    Did you manage to investigate this further? We've set this up purely for RemoteApps and internally I think everything is working fine but externally its a little hit and miss when connecting externally, still cant seems to find the cause. I did improve when selecting "Security Layer: SSL" Anyone else had this issue?

    Afternoon! - Did this just suddenly happen or did something cause it such as removing the entry within the database? My first port of call would be to restore the backup (if there's a good working version) RM automatically back up the last few days to the following directory: D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RMDatabases\Backup If they have automatically deleted check this directory within your backups which will enable you to go back further, Let me know how you get on.     That's strange as there's nothing in for the 6th September.... Do you think its to do with the naming of my periods, i'm guessing these need to be the same as the Export from SIMS? Period: 08:40 - Period 1 09:40 - Period 2 10:40 - Tutor Time 11:20 - Period 3 12:20 - Period 4 13:20 - Lunch 14:00 - Period 5 15:00 - After School

    We are in the process of changing ISP away from county. Internal range will stay the same. Just make sure when your External IP changes that you update everything that points back to the school such as your exchange server. Also double check where the DNS records are for your school domain... do they stay with the old provider or transfer to the new, if they transfer you'll need to replicate A records and CNAMES.

    Yes, there seems to be a shortage of those as the moment. Ours are on order with SwitchShop but we've been told late August!

    We are looking into finance packages and we have pretty much narrowed it down to PS Financials. Is anyone currently using them would love to have some feedback - as its a lot of money to go wrong! Currently using Corero which has too many cons than pros!

    Just wondering if anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction! We've just setup RDS and I wanted to lock down access to the directory within IIS by issuing my users with a certificate. They download from our VLE install onto the PC at home to allow them access to the RDWeb page. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Regards Matt

    Thanks Guys, By De-Attch and Re-attached seems to have worked so not sure what that's all about considering I did the same process yesterday! I've also just ran DBUpdate and it was well out of date! v3.something! when were on v6 now!! - Anyway all working!

    Hi Vickpaw, I can confirm that I've done this several times, even tried pasting the install folder from the old server. Tried FMSInst.exe that did nothing the. Went into the \Setups\FMS\ then ran the FMSApplication.exe which Installed the application and the SQL driver.

    Hi Everyone, Got an odd problem with FMS, I’ve basically upgraded our server and moved SIMS and everything to a new DC all seems to be fine apart from FMS won’t work. It pops up with the logon screen and prompts you for a username and password, then I get the following message:

    Hi Everyone, I'm also in the same situation of moving SIMS to a new 2008 server, I've tried the above links and they are no longer working. Does anyone have instructions or the order I need to perform the installation? - Some one mentioned just running the installs from the SIMSSHARE which ones though Capita don't have any ISO available to download from SupportNet.... Any help would be much appreciated! Regards Matt

    We're also looking to do the same or though I'd want to recreate the packages or app v. Are there any other tools anyone can suggest? Or does SCCM pretty much cover everything in terms of management? Would this be come you RMMC?

    LOL - I never said staff should! When I said 'they' I meant the fire brigade.

    We were advised that there is no requirement to provide a register in the event of a real fire as they will search the whole school regardless...... So we don't actually print anything off unless we have a drill.
