  1. Hi We are thinking about quitting RM, at the moment we have a CC4 Network but am looking at having a Vanilla network. Can anyone recommended any companies to help come into the school and consult us and assists with switching to vanilla from RM. We will also be purchasing new servers hence we thought would be a good time to do the switch. Has anyone done this at there own school? Many Thanks! Edit. Should have mentioned "Windows Vanilla Network"
  2. Invaluable information. I am trying to get a clear picture in my head ready for this change. it's much clearer now. Thank you. Dan
  3. Hi, Will just add what I use to recover deleted files. RecoverMyFiles (http://www.recovermyfiles.com/) if the file has been deleted and has not be written over, this software will find it. Dan
  4. Hello All I have been a big fan of the site for a long time, but thought it was about time to sign up and join in! So to kick things off, I have a question I work in a school with about 700 computers running on a RM CC4 network Server 2003 R2. We will soon be switching our broadband provider and thus our IP range will change. We build all computers using PXE (initially, then use remote build), so when we populate the credentials of the computer this enters the computer into the DNS. What is the best practice when switching ISP, edit the DNS or rebuild everything on the network? Or is there more options to consider. Dan
