  1. On the Iiyama models it's either the 'pause' button or the blue button on the remote, depending on model. Other makes may vary.
  2. To aid anyone looking for it:
  3. 1) I'd just leave them; they're doing no harm. 2b) Navigate to Veeam > Backup Infrastructure > Backup Repositories > Add yourself a new local repository wherever you want it, then edit your job to point to it. 4) Navigate to Veeam > Files > Windows > (Veeam Server) > Browse to repository > Double-click a .VBK, it will show you which Machine/VM's it contains, and then which restore points of a selected machine. (If Files is hidden, click the little '>>' icon at bottom of the Home/Inventory/Backup Infrastructure tab to turn on/off more views).
  4. Yes, if you've had your Trantecs for "years", how many are you using, what frequency, and do you have a license? Channel 70 is still free of charge/unlicensed but usually only 4 usable frequencies in that channel. Anything else you need a license.
  5. As above. Staff MFA enabled for "Any Location" with "Trusted locations excluded". Make sure you set your named location (of internal IPs) as 'trusted'. Screenshots attached. Peter
  6. https://customer.support-ess.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0024121&sys_kb_id=6c0fbdcc1b738dd09f2142a7b04bcb72&spa=1 once you're logged in. (KB0024121 - How can you shrink the SIMS / SOLUS 3 / Discover / FMS LDF file?)
  7. I wasn't involved in the why's but we added a UDF checkbox called PLAC about 3 months ago, and moved it into the Welfare section.
  8. We've got two sets of these at the top of our site. Different year groups can access in, out or both at different times depending what's set. You need to have a method of anti-passback, ie don't allow a student card to operate the turnstile twice or they pass their card back to their mate. Ours lock you out for 5 minutes on the basis you can't get to the village shops, buy food and get back again in much less than 5 minutes. Nothing stopping two people going through together though...
  9. We pay £168 for twenty Ch30 frequencies, but it's capped so once you have 6 frequencies in a given channel you can have as many as you like without paying more than £168. Thus I suspect (unless each channel is different fee structure) you should be less than the £200 guesstimate.
  10. I've seen that a long long time ago but don't recall its name. Almost the days of Packard Bell Navigator?!
  11. The two you mention are the regularly mentioned ones on the EV groups i'm in on facebook. I've also heard of EVBox which appears on google when you search for business EV charging. It's not something we've got round to at work yet but there's more and more of us with EVs so I guess we'll look at it at some point.
  12. LadBaby are going for number 4 with FoodAid / Feed the world.
  13. I went to look for that to post it, but couldn't find the email!
  14. A vaguely related query came up yesterday on the ANME forum; most folk seem to be using ColorVeil and I rolled it out yesterday.
  15. As long as you've "Released" it from DEP, which is on school manager, then you are correct. Is it definitely the right serial number, per settings > general > about? We've had one in the past where it was repaired with a different case so the serial no on the back was not the correct serial no. Log back into School Manager > Devices and search for the serial; it will show the date it was released if it has been.
  16. WE use https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/care-your-eyes/fidmpnedniahpnkeomejhnepmbdamlhl?hl=en for a handful of our students. I'll be looking at ColourVeil though as ours are all on desktops; no chromebooks involved.
  17. Interestingly we're an RM CC4 school as well so I wonder if it's them/their config resetting it. I'll do more reading.
  18. Ours was live instantly, FTTP with Brsk (local ISP, not Openreach).
  19. Hi Has anyone had problems with XML file handling when trying to open Linked Documents such as Individual Reports since IE was retired? We have a package/command to repair OfficeClickToRun that resets the file handler to "Office XML Handler" as it then deals with whether an XML is a Word doc or an Excel doc, but it seems to be being re-set to IE, which then causes an error along the lines of "You no longer have permissions to open this linked document, you stupid fool" - which in English means "You're opening an XML file in IE which was retired last year".
  20. +2 for tempest. USB stick with admission no's on, batch-import to SIMS using the (£49?) photo import license. Job done.
  21. Yeah, you can always re-register an iPad with another MDM. What you can't do is move it live; the iPad will need factory-reset to pick up the new DEP profile from eg Mosyle.
  22. We've just awarded tender to Peasoup for 40TB of Veeam Cloud Connect.
  23. Yes, we have AirServer installed sitewide. Only the staff network is configured to allow broadcast to the LAN so there's no problem with students broadcasting. We also have the passcode appear on screen so teacher can't broadcast to the wrong room.
  24. Win10 Core i3-10100 with 8GB RAM: 22 seconds for Inventory 16 seconds for Deploy Server 2019 Xeon 4108 with 16GB RAM: 37 seconds for Inventory 28 seconds for Deploy
  25. Ditto.
