  1. Going from a monthly DD of £42.50 to using over £300 of electricity per month?! That can't be right, surely?! I'm still on a fixed tariff until the end of December, so I've not been affected by the price increase...yet! If things really have gone up by that much, it'll be extra layers and lots of candles this winter.
  2. Let's just say at the higher end of 5 digits. We got all new Meraki kit, CAT6 cabling and upgraded cabinets. That's above my pay-grade. And, as I said earlier, we're covered for the next 10 years and I very much doubt it will be any of my concern by that time*. *Not only because I'm unlikely to still be here, but also because 'here'** will most probably have been absorbed into a MAT by then. **For context, 'here' is currently an LA KS2 school.
  3. Genuine quote from our headteacher when I asked him to sign off the order for our DfE CtC: Even though we were getting the money back, it took him a while* to pluck up the courage to actually do it. *However long you're thinking a 'while' is - it was MUCH longer than that.
  4. The funding includes the licences for the full 10 years. The other thing is, we don't know what kind of standards in technology we'll be replacing it with, in 10 years time, as it probably hasn't been invented yet.
  5. Lots of them...but they're mostly too political for this forum! On a personal level, at least I don't have to worry about our network for the next 10 years - and I doubt it will be my problem by that time, anyway.
  6. Thanks for the clarification.
  7. @Seb1780 and @Marci - Did you get the header information error as per the OP when you imported your data?
  8. Have you got a source for this, @Marci, so that I can advise SLT?
  9. Yaaayyyy!!! I solved a technical problem and helped someone else on Edugeek (rather than it being the other way round) for a change!
  10. Could it be something as simple as they've replied to the emails and the conversations have moved to the Sent Items folder?
  11. I've, literally, just emailed the LA with the workaround I used yesterday. Hope this helps you, too.
  12. That's the way the cookie crumbles!
  13. <<(In my best Bender voice) "Yeah? Well I'm just gonna bake my own 11" cookie - with turnip and escargot!"
  14. Now that would be simply gluttonous! And, of course, I need to watch my figure. Gotta be beach body ready for the summer!
  15. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!
  16. Sardine and custard!
  17. Ooooohhh!! Bacon and banana!
  18. I think Miguel Pacheco from Drybrook, Gloucestershire needs to get himself over to Japan! http://www.edugeek.net/forums/news/228413-iphone-still-working-after-10-months-river.html
  19. Ooof! That make's me Banbury Cross! (InB4: Ye's, it wa's deliberate!)
  20. I never used their physical server backup solution, but Altaro's VM Backup is excellent - as is the support!
  21. We're back to having daily case updates in school.
  22. Dear (John)
