The slip pouches for the iPads arrived a couple days later, although they're not going to provide much protection anyway.

I don't know if it would work but could you: 1. Create a script to run from a user GPO that either creates a file in a particular location or sets a registry key. 2. Schedule a local task to check if the file/key exists. 3. If it does, delete the file/key; if it doesn't, logout the user. Just an idea

I have (literally) just added a post to our website asking critical workers to complete a registration form, just to keep our records up to date, as part of our contingency plan. *Staff have also been looking at online materials from earlier this year in case we need to use them again. EDIT: *This started earlier this week and isn't in response to the BBC story.

Log in to the Tech Source website, click on Order History then Order Details. The code near the end of the iPad description is the Reseller number. Ours were from XMA. They’ve not arrived, yet, nor have they appeared in ASM, but at least I’ve been able to add XMA as a reseller. Hoping they show in the next few days.

My house is the same and I wouldn't even consider putting one in the passageway (let alone two). Apart from accessibility, it wouldn't be a suitable location as it is too enclosed.

We moved to Wave9 earlier this year and they have been brilliant. Virgin Media cancelled several appointments to install our leased line, but Wave9 went above and beyond to make sure we still had a solid connection in the meantime. Filtering and firewall queries have been handled promptly and professionally and general communication is excellent. I've been so impressed that they were my first choice for our Connect the Classroom bid, and they have helped us to secure some serious DfE funding to upgrade our network infrastructure. Highly recommended!

I'm looking at using Intune to prepare our DfE laptops for use by pupils at home. I've spent days reading all kinds of Microsoft documentation, but I'm very much a linear learner* and get confused when I have to open related documents that go off on tangents. I just feel like I'm going down a rabbit hole - and not even finding any rabbits! Can anyone give me concise instructions for an easy way to enroll about 30 Windows 10 laptops, giving students access to a web browser and Office 365 apps only? Thanks in anticipation (*It's an ASD thing.)

My advice remains, if you have symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, book a PCR - even if a LFT shows negative. Hopefully, the PCR will show negative, too, but I believe that it's better to play safe.

Flash????? Aaaaaaarrrrgggghhh!! (Sorry, someone had to do it!) Didn't realise that site relied so heavily on Flash. It's one that our Year 3 classes have used, in the past, so I'll expect similar requests. EDIT: That site is so out of date it needs it's own museum. It's not even Adobe Flash, it asks you to install, it's Macromedia Flash!

When you say 'home test', do you mean PCR or just a quick LFT? If the latter, pleeeaaasse, go and get a proper test done. I know too many people who have taken LFTs that showed negative when, really, they were positive.
