EDIT: Here it is - Guide to resetting Windows laptops and tablets Section 6 of the guide, 'Apply your own settings', directs users to the original guidance for 'Preparing Standard Microsoft Windows laptops and tablets', so my previous assertion is correct...for now!

It may not be a rulebook, but it is guidance from the DfE. In lieu of any further guidance, I would expect it still to apply. EDIT: My emphasis

This document on gov.uk details what security measures must be in place if you are sending devices home with pupils. They require anti-virus, content filtering, account protection, app control and device security. While Inture/MDM enrollment is recommended, it isn't expected if you don't already have it in place. Done. Lockdown/Working from home was great for me - especially the first one. Coming back to school has caused me the biggest problems.

I made exactly that recommendation to them yesterday. Apparently, they are putting the finishing touches to a new customer portal, which is due to go live next month. After that, the old website will be completely removed. They're delivering a 660 litre bin next Wednesday and will collect however many of our old SMARTboards they can fit in the van while they are at it. Oh, and they take used toner cartridges, too, as long as they're bagged/boxed up. Happy days!!

I take it all back! I emailed them earlier about their privacy policy and had a reply - along with a link to their new website (which now has https, @pete).

So it's just their website that is lacking in info, then? (I've just noticed that the waste handling certificates they link to expired in 2015.) Perhaps I'd be better to phone them, rather than email or book online.

Sorry to resurrect a necro-thread but, having been let down by another asset disposal company who ran out of space in the van and left a load of stuff behind, I need to find someone to take the rest - preferably without charging or having minimum requirements. I'm wondering if people's views are still positive about this company. When I contacted them at the end of last year, I got a basic response, but nothing when I asked for more detail. Can any of you help me out? Some of you mentioned that they provide lockable bins/cages, although there is no information on their website other than when booking a collection. What size containers are available and is a deposit required? I'd also like to know if there is a specific procedure that we would need to follow when disposing of equipment other than our own internal procedures, e.g. if they provide labels or if we need to provide them with a full list of items, serial numbers, etc. Also, I've just tried to sign up for an account and when I clicked the link to view the Privacy Policy, it just read - Privacy policy. TIA

I've had it forwarded to me by the head, today. It seems very pushy considering they are good for another 3 1/2 months. Personally, I don't want to reset any of them before the summer holidays as there is still a chance we may to send them home with children if they have to isolate.

I think there's too much pot ash in the soil!

Returning to the asparagus theme from last year, I tried another combination at the weekend. First, I blanched the asparagus for about two minutes. I then wrapped it in smoked salmon and drizzled a little olive oil before putting it in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 200°C. I served it on a bed of mixed salad leaves, chopped baby plum tomatoes, spring onions and diced soft Irish goats' cheese, all seasoned with some freshly ground black pepper, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was stunning!

I weeded the patio, last week (seriously, there was more greenery between the paving slabs than on the lawn!), causing panic for a variety of insects for whom the sky must have felt like it was falling in. I felt really guilty when I saw an ant carrying not just one but two injured/dead comrades. I could almost hear him shouting, 'MEDIIIIC!!
