    What We Do In The Shadows - Mockumentary that looks at the everyday lives of a group of house-sharing vampires. (MUBI) I’d heard the name before but didn’t know what it was about (I thought it was a typical teen vampire flick). When I realised the Flight of the Conchords connections, I just had to watch it...and I wasn’t disappointed. Very funny.

    Following confirmation of a positive Covid-19 test, one of our Year 6 classes has been sent home to isolate for two-weeks...for the third time! They only returned to school last Tuesday.

    The head has ordered 20 iPads through the scheme. Does anyone know whether they have mobile data capability? It would be great if we could use these free data SIM cards with them.

    Sounds like bliss! ...apart from the micro-meals; I'd have to cook something really tasty for myself. ...and the cat. I like cats, but I'm highly allergic. ...and the slumping with booze would have to follow a good, long dog-walk, either on the beach or somewhere in the countryside. ...other than that, it's ideal.

    I agree that it's never going to happen but, if there were to be more lockdowns in January, extending the school Christmas holiday to coincide would be a good way of doing things (likewise, that's my opinion).

    Star Wars - All of them! I've just finished my annual cycle of all the Star Wars films in chronological order of story, including the animated Clone Wars (just the film, not the TV series). What used to take a few days now takes almost a fortnight!

    Is the screen/projector networked (or networkable)? It may be worth checking the manual to see if you can mirror to it directly. Our SMART panels and Epson laser projectors are both capable of this. We still use AirServer in other locations, though.

    Personally, I don't see why it would be the school's responsibility to provide Internet filtering - especially if the device is connected via the family's home router. We give book tokens to pupils as prizes; it's up to parents to ensure that their children don't use them to buy 'adult material'.
